Re: D-Day 75th Anniversary

Around here, we have quite a few "remembrances" of France's involvement in our history. Houses mark where Lafayette stayed. There are signposts marking the route French General Rochambeau's march Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route The arrival of 55-year-old General Jean Baptiste Donatien de V...

Re: D-Day 75th Anniversary

I got to watch some of the remembrance events the past few days. It was nice to hear President Macron's speech. France was America's first ally and the bonds between our counry's continue's to be strong, despite such childish tantrums such as the Freedom Fries Fiasco. My wife told me that at the Ame...

Re: Missouri's last abortion clinic says it may lose its license this week

From the Guttmacher Institute - about as Pro-Abortion as you can get: •Some 75% of abortion patients in 2014 were poor or low-income. Twenty-six percent of patients had incomes of 100–199% of the federal poverty level, and 49% had incomes of less than 100% of the federal poverty level ($15,730 for a...

So........How are they going to get it to you Kbot? Use the same old broken grid we have now?! You might try and read up on it a bit, and see how healthy and "easy peasy" it going to be, and just how much outa pocket you can afford. http://www.fantasticforum.com/1res/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=52490 With...

Re: Pope Benedict XVI's ' Letter To Current Pope Francis

That's nice, I am just guessing here.......I suppose you will need to live in perpetual high winds to keep some sort of grid. Enjoy. The wind turbines are located off shore, as well as some on-land. Here's the thing - you go off shore few miles and in many cases, all there is, is wind. From the Flo...

Re: Pope Benedict XVI's ' Letter To Current Pope Francis

Oh geez......... "sarcasm" people. Look, we ALL have things we can't stand, right? Lord knows that there are issues about certain elements of American that you can't stand. We all know that - and NEVER have I said "move" to either of you. It's called a difference of opinion - but I guess that that's...

Re: Pope Benedict XVI's ' Letter To Current Pope Francis

Yeah Doka, for what it's worth, none of us Catholics can figure this out (Francis and Benedict). BUT, this is not the first time the Roman Catholic Church has had more than one pope - it's happened a few times, But, as far as the sex abuse issue - first of all, I just don't get it. Who in their righ...

Re: What did you last make??

For Easter I tried something different (for us at least) - roast leg of lamb with za'atar, garlic, oregano and mint, with potatoes, onions, celery and carrots, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. Have enough leftovers for supper tomorrow and Gyros after that
