You do know that this is the same Govt Accountability Board that last week certified Prosser and scolded Kloppenburg for stating there "couldve been fraud"? And who took a quick look at what Kath Nickolaus did in Waukesha and shrugged it off and said it was OK?? Same board, same Kevin Kenn...

FWIW I posted this on a local forum - BTW I am not a "they," and I don't speak for "they." *** I volunteered as a Klop observer in one of the counties that did an AWESOME job with their election and recount processes ... and I'd agree with the article except for a few things.... ...

Unless you are knowledgeable about all the shenanigans in Waukesha County, your opinion & POV doesn't exactly carry a lot of weight. Most counties as it turned out functioned quite well and passed the audit with flying colors. One notable exception (the infamous Waukesha Co.) did not -numerous c...

No, Dem senators weren’t there - with less than 2 hrs notice, there was not enough time for them to get back to Wis. The "fiscal" items were stripped out which meant that a quorum was no longer needed... so repubs went ahead and passed the bill w/o any Dem senators present. Not sure how th...

Aha, I understand the source of the confusion. This ruling is in reference to not the first bill coming up (which resulted in the 14 senators leaving to prevent a quorum) but the revised version on March 9 which had the "fiscal" items stripped out so as to not require a quorum and and whic...

Yeah, really, Scott Walker might want to think about hiring another attorney - if they didn't bother to have that person testify in court. This article illustrates how the Ministry of Truth, errr, I mean Dept of Adminstration (under Walker appointed Dept heads) has been operating lately – and it’s a...

WHAT busted windows. WHAT damage. Fer godsakes lady. Im sorry but this one is personal - name your source. And don't try to tell me there are palm trees in Madison either. True, the lawn is thoroughly trounced from 100,000+ in a confined area - a collection has been started for its restoration. Unti...

That inexplicable 2% cut in FICA collection by Obama needs to be mentioned here - what's up with that? No one wanted it or asked for it - yet there it is. I can't help but think they're wanting to shrink it more so it can be drowned in the proverbial bathtub..... “they” being Geithner and the rest o...

The state assembly is comparable to the House of Representatives, bill has to go thru both assembly and senate before being signed by gov. However - senators are still awol so no quorum. So really, not much changed except it's one step closer to being passed.

Where to start – Wis. schools are among top 5 states in terms of educational success – non unionized are on the bottom. There is a strong progressive/labor tradition here starting to reassert itself which maybe you don’t have in Missouri or wherever the heck there is that bill to eliminate child lab...

Greetings from Mad City! What ISN"T BEING REPORTED in the national main stream media is that our unions already agreed to pay/benefit cuts before Walker even took office, the issue is solely, entirely the radical right's agenda to break the union, and privatize (eg corporatize) many public serv...

Longtime lurker, infrequent poster here. Liberals in the cross hairs hmmm. Lock and load hmmm. Read about how Rwanda massacre came about – anyone who thinks hate radio and symbology doesn’t have an effect does not understand history and human nature. “Cut down the tall trees” sounds innocuous eh? Hmmm as I see it the pic kinda illustrates my point. Sorry! WTC was the target, and the obvious point of impact & detonation was there, not the Burlington Coat Factory. It is quite stunning actually to see that visual image from the air.

On ground zero - Id say no, not if the point is to intentionally educate or politicize or "further understanding of" anything, or in any other way exploit the memory of 911 even if you think it is for some greater good. Tnat would include Christian churches set up there as well. 2 blocks a...
