Gitche Manitou

This poem explores the Algonquian concept of gitche manitou from a purely animistic point of perspective. There's a lot I could say about this, especially with regard to Western misinterpretations of what manitou means on its own and when used in conjunction with gitche . However, I think it's bette...

Well I'm particularly pleased with my latest post, which is maybe the most animistic thing I've ever written. Maybe I'll share that first.

Thanks for the invitation to do so. :)

Thanks. :) Ah... Well. I don't know what other poems I would share here. That's the only Art/C2C specific poem I've written. :) I have a poem inspired by the potential for life on Europa. Maybe that could go someplace here? There's also a poem--an abstract write--focused on the idea of stars being c...

Well he did go through all that trouble to setup a serviceable long-distance radio station in Manila, though maybe he's already back in Nye? I haven't been keeping track. Either way, Nye or Manila, it would be a shame for all that hardware to go to waste. :D

I listened to Art since I was 13 or so years old. I'm 41 now. So when the guy with the doomsday obsession took over, it was pretty depressing. Still is. I like when Ian Punnit hosts, though. He doesn't have the awesome radio voice Art has, but at least he's level headed, not obsessed with the apocal...

Wow that came out of nowhere. How long has it been since I started this thread? Let me count the years.

And we're listenin'... Listenin'... But sadly it ain't to Mr. Bell, but some dork with a doomsday obsession...

Doppelganger

Last week sometime George had a special line for doppelganger experiences. I found the calls to be pretty interesting, and after thinking about it for the past week I've come to the conclusion that these doppelganger experiences aren't occurring between 'doubles', but between alternate selves. I thi...

I noticed that the thread this was originally posted under got zapped. This belongs here. Took three weeks of hard work and research to write this poem, and I want it to be here. Hope this will be alright. If anyone is interested in seeing how people who have no idea who Art is have responded to thi...

Unbounded

Unbounded ... for Mr. Bell ... ... in memory of Mrs. Bell ... Sagebrush murmurs fill the midnight air; the Colorado ripples in the darkness, reflectionless beneath the moonless stars, where creosotes sing ancient roundelays, dreamtime songs as subtle as the sound of shooting stars that drift across...
