What's new?

Anything new here? I see the team dropped a bit in the rank overall. I had to take a hiatus, but I'm back now, with more compy power than ever.

Where is Pam?

For gaming, there is no equal! My 19" LCD's maximum resolution is a paltry 1280x1024 and to date, there is no game that doesn't get massive frame rates on it (I'm talking 80+). I'm going to try out Oblivion next, but at my low res it should have no problems at all. I just checked in over at the...

Fantastic. I had no idea George knew about this. I'll be sure to listen to that clip!

I also emailed Art with a more complete plea to devote some time of his show to it as well.

Well, I emailed the coast producer with the suggestion of Eric or the creators of BOINC to discuss Seti@Home or distributed computing in general. Honestly, I think that this topic is perfect for the show and would be a welcome change to much of what I have been listening to. I also think that we can...

I'm lucky...I get to listen to him every day on my drive into work.

He's even funnier on his local show.

And yes...he is the anti-George.

New client being developed for GPU crunching

For those that are interested, a few crunchers are spearheading a new client that will allow the crunching of WUs using an Nvidia GPU (that utilizes the CUDA technology). Things are in the extremely early planning statges. A website was created that will hopefully keep everyone up to date as to wher...

How can we get S@H on C2C?

Despite my June 1 2006 start date listed in my profile, I'd been crunching classic SETI much earlier. I originally heard about it on Coast to Coast and it got me started, of course, I joined Team Art Bell. When I got back into it this year, I emailed Art and asked him if he was aware of the status o...

Just dropped it on my lappy (P-M) and my home PC (dual core AMD). Thus far it seems to be quite a bit faster than 1.3. I don't have solid numbers yet.

Since BOINC isn't taking advantage of this but Folding does, does that mean we could boinc with our processor and fold with our GPU? Let us know how that monster does for you, OK? I don't know if I could ever bring myself to spend 0 on a video card, but I'd love to hear about it. If what I gather i...

Big possibilities for crunchers ahead

I'm sure most of you know of the ATI processors being able to fold@home, but now Nvidia has answered with their own unified solution and an SDK for developers. More information can be found here: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda.html Granted, the cards cost a fortune, but they are amazingly f...

Milestone for Numanoid!

Woohoo, I just broke 200K work today. I also just ordered a cheap dual core (AMD 4600+) so I should effictively double my work from my home PC! Woohoo!

How are the other crunchers out there doing?

Looks like you have some angels on your shoulder...let me be the devil on the other one. Buy a new system and watch those stats go! I've had a lot of fun getting my PCs crunching and climbing the ladder. I've finally reached my pinnacle (with regards to RAC) and it landed me in the top 10 of TAB! I'...

Wow, I love the optimized client! Great work on this! My RAC has increased dramatically. I finally broke 1000 and I'm hopefully headed to 1200 or so. I really want to get into the top 10 for TAB. Does anyone know if the team founder posts here? I'd like to see all the non active users removed from t...
