This goes to show how little human life is valued in these countries that offer children up as suicide bombers or sex slaves. The mindset of the parents of that 16 year old boy tried to act as though they were shocked that he would be enlisted by older men, but the mother did say that she might have...

It's no longer a matter of race or class. With so many people losing their jobs today, whether they're blue collar or white collar workers, they will be unable to afford health insurance. It doesn't matter if a person made $20,000 a year or a lot more. No one can afford paying rates that can easily ...

Helms, I tend to be more practical than religious. I'm not one of those "new-age" people who try to blend UFOs with psychic phenomena. I find that main-stream religions, such as Christian fundamentalists, totally ignore the facts because they conflict with their beliefs of God and the univ...

I have never had an abduction experience and never want to have one. However, these personal incidents with abduction are terrifying to even dream about. There's no way for an abductee to go to the police for protection because they'll probably be ignored or, even worse, humiliated with jokes. Years...

Years ago, when I was a teen-ager, I used to read a lot about Astral Projection. I had a bedroom in the attic toward the front of the house. One night, I woke up, but felt very paralyzed as though I was sinking back into my bed. At the same time, there was something pulling me upward and out of my b...

This certainly was the best UFO movie made so far. Yes, those scenes of the woman with her son were chilling, especially with the quiet, small town shots of the open spaces and the very starry sky. I vividly remember the scene when "they're" coming. The record player starts with that child...

Since Coast to Coast comes on very late here, I can't always listen. But when Art was on, he played the tapes of police and air traffic controllers reporting strange objects. Art played the tape of police officers in Illinois reporting the sighting. It may have been a small town, but they were very ...

I believe both of you in what you've seen. You both appear to be very sane, rational people who were truly amazed by what you saw. These triangular UFOs have been seen around the country, even the world. A few years ago, such an object was seen in southern Illinois by many rational people. Even the ...

Corvid, I planted 6 plants, but only used the head from only one. I planted them by the garage. Once the heads started to droop, the squirrels were jumping from the garage roof onto the heads. It's amazing how quickly they "gutted" them out. They're beautiful plants, so tall and impressive...

Cherry, I tried roasting the sunflower seeds and they were good. The only problem is that I roasted them for a bit too long so that some of the seeds became baked inside the shell. I'll try again next year, but will bake them for less than an hour. Thanks for the info, though.

Just within the last month, 3 notable power outages seems kind of suspect. New York has already been threatened again by terrorists. Europe has a growing Muslim population. It could be terrorists who are experimenting with ways to cripple nations that are friendly with America. It's the same after t...

roasting sunflower seeds

This summer, I grew a few sunflower plants. Now, the heads are drooping way down, and it's time for harvest. Years ago, I roasted sunflower seeds, but forgot how to do this. Does anyone have a good recipe how to roast sunflower seeds? The squirrels are getting to them.

What a tragedy for the many who perished in that heat wave. However, it makes this country so much more advanced by having air-conditioning. Even if senior citizens don't have air-conditioning here, they can be taken into a shelter that does, especially in large cities. We are often chastised as bei...
