I wanted to say thank you Seticruncher for being the impetus behind the radio interview which Dixiebutcher will be doing with George Noory. Sometimes a flame needs to be lit and you certainly did that! :) So will Team Art Bell get a plug? That would be awesome. You can see we gain more than we lose...

I think if you just delete the app info xml, this will allow the download of the enhanced SETI and the original SETI 4.18, since those work units are still being produced too.

That Library Dependecy Thing in Linux
If you want to run the optimized enhanced 5.12 for Linux, you need to look at the README APP file first. It says: The following library denpendencies are needed to run the application. linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0xb7fd5000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0xb7fb1000)...

If you are running an optimized app, the app info file that comes with it prevents new apps from being downloaded. A couple of guys on the boards said they deleted the app info from their setiathome.berkeley.edu folder and then enhanced seti was downloaded. They also allegedly were able to crunch op...

I got my Pentium D up and running. I bought a Big Typhoon heatsink for it and man that thing is huge. I am running caseless right now because I am too scared to mount that monster in a case, I'm scared it'll snap the motherboard in half. I ended up with an Asus p5ld2-vm, and right now I am using the...

http://www.guntec.de/Crunch3r/setiew.html
Don't forget the app info xml file on the same page.
Linux is on his site too, but read the readme app before you go and hose a bunch of work units like I did. Something about libraries..........

The good news is, if you are using Windows, the optimized Enhanced is out here Make sure you download the app info xml file too, on that same page. This file will allow you to use both the Crunch3r 4.11 app and his optimized Enhanced app together, which is nice since they are still making the old wo...

Mates, I've made a decision. I've noticed how the top computers at SETI are Powermacs. Not gonna buy one. But right after them are Pentium D's. I can afford that. So I had to decide, Athlon X2 or Pentium D. The Pentium D 920's are only $209 at Zip zoom fly. I had a wish list all set up at New Egg, b...

Hey, guys! I'm posting this from a wireless computer with Ubuntu 6.06 beta2! :D Right away I like that it shows in my computer list as the name I gave it an not localhost.localdomain. And it didn't spawn a new host, as I feared it would, being 64 bit. I copied my boinc folder (with the work cache dr...

Hello, fellas. So it's quiet in here, eh? Well you can count on me to fix that. I thought I'd try out the beta Ubuntu 6.06. I downloaded the AMD64 iso last night and tried it out tonight, I thought it was just a live cd, but you can also install it. Well, the live cd found the wireless card and conn...
