Wow... the guy (or his producers) can't even get "sensationalism" right. Instead, it's a tedious and repetitive series of shots of some very smug-looking people turning their heads to face the camera. Laughable.

Shirley,

While this thread might have a few bends in it now, I think the overriding sentiment is that C2C needs a guy like George Knapp to put it back on track. Or maybe it shouldn't be a guy "like" GK. It should be GK.

I've figured it out. I get it now. C2C with Bonehead at the helm is one of those "life imitating art" situations (no pun intended, I assure you). In this case, the art being imitated is Space Ghost Coast to Coast . http://www.adultswim.com/shows/spaceghost/ So the format is "comedy&qu...

That's just it MM.... C2C had very little in terms of political overtones (though there was a time when Art was sounding very defensive of Bush). Still, the underlying essence of the show was... well, we all know it was. And it was a genre unto itself. Regardless of whether the guests were believeab...

I hear ya MM. Especially what you said about disinformation... can't put my finger on that either but I hear ya...

But pinch me so I know I'm not dreaming... he's never met Art?

Now, these "semi-regular" appearances by George Knapp? I'm ready for one right now...

Hi Shirley,

Lurking...

Thanks for posting that link about the bad weather in NYC. I stayed under my rock all day so I had no idea that had happened.

;)

Have a good night!

Kaz, I don't know if you'll see this or not... I remember several times when Art got really annoyed when the audio quality of the phone lines wasn't good. There were several occasions where I heard him wait (dead silence) until the caller went to another line or (if on a portable) found a place wher...

Re: Some stuff I can't argue with.......

If one grocer can think that he can keep his onions priced at the pre fair tax rate, well he won't be in business after the Sunday paper is delivered. This assumes that the day the fair tax (or other tax alternative) is implemented that everyone in the US who charges "X" for something wil...

Lowering prices at the cash register as a result of what you're advocating? That'll never, ever happen. If a bag of onions sell for $1 today, taking into consideration your (round numbers) 25% of total cost is tax, after the repeal of the income tax you're saying that the price should drop to 75c. I...

First of all, thank you for your most thought-provoking post! As far as every item being taxed at every step in its manufacture... This is only partially true, at least in NY. And of course I'm talking about state tax. If I apply for a sales tax exemption ('resale certificate'), supplies purchased f...

Just checking in, read about the bridge collapse, and glad to hear Ian's OK. Looking at the pictures, it's amazing that there weren't more casualties. But if something like a section of a bridge is going to fall down and land flat, anything on top of it will fall with it in sync, so "yay, physi...
