Wow, I hadn't seen this. So maybe all that noisy stuff we crunch sometimes is from the NSA. Darn them anyway. I would really like to know what the alien signals look like and if they know what is being said. As long as they don't want to eat us or enslave us, I'm all for them coming to see us. I thi...

That's probably prudent, I guess a lot of people turn off some computers for summer time because of the heat issue. I used to have a Lakewood box fan blowing over my old P3 laptop to keep it from getting too warm. I also thought that box fan did a good job cooling off the chipsets on the P2ld5-vm th...

I think you are right. Those VLAR's hurt. I don't understand why some flops take longer to do than others. I bumped the OC on the Pentium D 920 up a little more, hoping to see the RAC jump on it but it didn't happen. With AR's all over the place, it can be hard to tell if tweaks are doing what you h...

I've been seeing more of these Very Low Angle Range work units. They take a long time and claim around 58 credits. This is aggravating since work units with average Angle Ranges take much less time and claim 60 credits or more.:( When I see what other people are getting in times for these VLARs, it ...

Yeah, I goofed, that post doesn't belong in here, that was just 64 bit boinc and seti, not optimized seti. Not the same thing at all. :o I caught Suse snoozing- BOINC manager was showing no progress and the CPU meter was down at 44%. Then Suse did the unforgivable- it froze. Back to Ubuntu for me. S...
