thanks! It took me awhile to rediscover my passion. For the longest time I could not figure what would make me happy. Then through a hand of fate I found this opportunity. As soon as I found my first treasure (a beautiful crystal water pitcher for $4) which I later researched and found for $225 on the web : ) I was hooked again! Since I value treasures from the past I have taken it upon myself to educate the younger generations on some of the more "cool" collectables like vaseline glass (made in the depression era up until around the 50's) which contains uranium and will glow under black light). Beatles memoribilia has become huge with youngsters. : ) So I have pledged to become a guardian of some of the treasures. The important thing is that they are passed on. It is very sad when I see old family photos that are lost forever from someone's history for sale in a shop. Or amazing antiques that are found in a thrift store because they didnt sell at someone's relative's estate. The lesson learned over the years is DONT THROW AWAY ANYTHING! : )

Complying with the requests from IronsGold and Linda for pix of our new baby, here's Fionna. :) For those who haven't read what I said about her elsewhere, she's a 10-week old Border Collie. Her coloring is probably different from what you usually think of as a Border Collie - the black and white ones you see most often in movies - but they actually can be almost any color and combination of markings (even merle). Her coloring is called sable, and it's a lot like the dogs you know of as Collies (like Lassie). In fact, those dogs were bred originally FROM dogs like Fionna. She's a sweetie - I won't underplay that fact that she's a handful, but she's definitely CUTE and we love her to bits!

This is the first photo I saw of her, which made us want to go see her...

She's going to go with us to PetSmart in just a little while to pick out some new toys (man, she gets bored with them TOO fast!). We're socializing her with people right now, so this will be a good exercise for that.

We sneaked her in with us at the pub last night, and she did fantastic. LOL She even fell asleep on the bench beside my daughter. She was very good with all the people, gave kisses when appropriate and didn't try to use anyone's fingers for a chew toy (yay! LOL).

Joolz, she's BEAUTIFUL!!

What a treasure! You guys are sooo lucky! I've forgotton how much fun a puppy can be!

The one of her under the sofa is priceless. I've been sitting here going "Awww" and Taarna came running over to me, like she KNEW I was looking at a new puppy!

You must update the pics every few weeks, so we can watch her grow up!

Now, when she learns to TIE Corvids shoe laces, you're in trouble!

Edit for spelling; I was so excited!

Thanks you guys! :) She's a lot of work (whew!) but she's a lot of fun, too. Here are some more pix I took last night. These are of her playing the game she invented for herself.

It began when we were playing fetch with her and her ball happened to land inside this wine rack against one of the kitchen walls. She worked really hard to get the ball out from underneath the wine rack and we just let her figure it out. She loved it so much that she started taking her other toys and putting them in there herself, so that she can work at getting them out again.

This is now a FAVORITE game (so much so that we've had to secure the wine rack to the wall so she doesn't topple it over and hurt herself). She LOVES this and will do it over and over. LOL It usually takes her about a minute to get the toy out now, but it's always a different problem to solve every time so she still has to work at it.

I'm just showing you these so that you'll know what she's like. She is definitely a handful - and more! My life is now controlled by a puppy. (Oh, and her 'official' nickname is now Princess Puppybutt, although Princess of Cute is running a close second.)

Starting to Work on Getting It Out
(first you must bite and paw at it from the top, and try to extract it through the bars at the bottom of the rack)
