Fan -Can you send out an email?

Post by CoastZone » 05-26-2011 09:51 AM

Yea, I was wondering if you have any intention of sending out an email/newsletter to all the members we have on board here and welcoming them back to the FF. Asking them for their feedback on a new direction for steering the ship into a new era.

For far too long she's stayed docked. I say it is time we pulled up the anchor and sailed the mighty seas!

What say you?

I am planning on sending out a re-invite, I have a few more fixes we need, and then we'll cast off. I am busy, so things are a little slow, but we'll get there.

Hey Now Fan, as a kickoff to kindle interest in our upcoming 15th anniversary, any chance doing a mass member emailing for the FF March Madness tourney?

Yes I believe this could be accomplished :)

Thanks Fan. After the mailing, along with all the other conspicuously absent pirates I'll be very interested to see if it prompts any appearances from FFolks over at The Deuce. After a recent derisive swipe directed at the Original Ship, I've pretty much decided to pack it in there myself...

I mean, really now! In all honesty, can anyone actually coming by here tell me they see a thick layer of dust collecting on the decks, as if the OLD place has been long left to rot? What a total crock! -

Seems the overarching implication is The Deuce has it all over the Original by virtue of its relative newness - No dust THERE! And presumably it still has that 'New Forum Smell'. How DO they do it?

For one thing, it's easy to keep clean as aside of stalwarts racehorse and Swerdloc there's only been Malaria_Kidd and me posting on anything resembling a regular basis, so for sure it's certainly uncontaminated by a significant ship's contingent! Apparently, vast underutilization is the ticket.

Anahoo, hereon so much I'm now aware pitching in there is a potential detriment I'll do my part to preserve The Deuce's supposed superiority by striving to steer well clear of it. Happy Trails, FF2.

I dunno, Dude - A virtually unused forum is the new gold standard, or so I've been lead to believe!

But seriously, even as I've essentially left the FF2 to its own devices? I'm really not looking to carry on with a major league resuscitation project. Been there, tried that, didn't work out. If you want to know more about it, should he ever drop in here again ask Jon-Marcus about Patrick Henry's Pub.

Is FF2 still up? Doesn't look like it is as I couldn't get to the site.
