Republicans say U.S. headed toward ‘armed revolution’: Poll

A survey of Republicans found nearly half agreed that “an armed revolution in order to protect liberties might be necessary in the next few years.”

It found 44 percent of registered Republicans believed an armed rebellion could come in the next few years. But only 18 percent of Democrats and 27 percent of independents agreed.

Revolution? Oh, the optimism! Semantically I'd say "rebellion" would be more like it, but...

Arming and revolting/rebelling is one thing, actually ousting the current government and installing a new one is another - As it is, I don't imagine such "domestic terrorism" would be treated lightly.

A march on Washington with loaded rifles Libertarian activist and radio host Adam Kokesh is hoping to get 1,000 people to march on Washington on July 4 — armed with loaded rifles. The plan, launched with a Facebook group today, is to gather on the Virginia side of the Potomac, where gun laws are lax, and then march across the bridge with loaded rifles slung over their shoulders into the District, where openly carrying weapons is generally prohibited. “This will be a non-violent event,” the Facebook group warns, “unless the government chooses to make it violent.” Already, over 200 people have said they’ll attend the march.
