Harnessing Lucid Dreams

Forty years ago, author, Robert Waggoner, taught himself a simple trick to lucid dream, or become consciously aware of dreaming while in the dream state. Logging more than a thousand lucid dreams since that time, he has used this scientifically validated state to explore lucid dreaming’s potential for accessing subconscious creativity, healing the body, and communicating with an aware and responsive inner Self. After the success of his acclaimed book, Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self, Robert Waggoner has written a second book with co-author, Caroline McCready, Lucid Dreaming Plain and Simple to help beginners induce lucid dreams, stabilize them and learn how to use them for growth, healing and personal transformation.

Robert is past President of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). For the past ten years, he has been the co-editor of the online magazine, The Lucid Dreaming Experience, the only ongoing publication devoted specifically to lucid dreaming. Robert frequently speaks on lucid dreaming at national and international dream conferences, workshops and college classrooms, like Sonoma State University, Iowa State University, University of Washington, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and Evergreen State College.

Robert has been interviewed by CNN, CBS News and ABC News (KABC – Los Angeles) about the practice of lucid dreaming. His comments have appeared in media as diverse as DETAILS ,The Huffington Post, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Popular Science and Brides magazine. During 2009-2010, he had a regular Iowa Public Radio show, discussing dreams and lucid dreams, and spoke with Utne Reader in 2015.
A mind should not be so open that the brains fall out; however, it should not be so closed that whatever gray matter which does reside may not be reached. ART BELL
