Post by Riddick » 07-16-2015 07:48 AM

The 2016 presidential election campaign is a crowded field with the highest proportion in recent history who are flat-out unqualified for the job. But why are some of them doing very well at this point? FULL STORY

Hey Now Ben, would you believe the writer was a panelist for the first debate in the '76 Presidential election, and moderated the debate between the Democratic candidates for the nomination in the 1984 race?

Would you also believe she was a panelist for Meet the Press for many years and made frequent appearances The News Hour with Jim Lehrer and still occasionally appears on The NewsHour and other radio and television programs?

Last but not least, would you believe not only was she director of the Council For Foreign Relations from 1972 to '77, to this day she remains a member?

And still, after all that, in Spy Magazine's 1989 Battle Of The New Yorker Bores she was labeled as the "author of too-frequent Washington columns"! Apparently, in their view, as a writer she carries all the qualifications of a sedative.

So you're saying she's a basic liberal.

Well, with her rep one might say, though she starts from the base? She builds on it.... This is not to say it gets any better! What results is a case of more is less.

Mebbe the sedative effect is a defense mechanism of the mind, a guard against brain damage due to prolonged exposure??

Here's some news for ya: So, turns out we have our Ms. Drew quoted as saying "Democracy, like any non-coercive relationship, rests on a shared understanding of limits." Funny stuff! Ya gotta laff - like the Left doesn't use the big stick of Political Correctness??

Just how's a democracy work when you have The New Totalitarians telling everybody how everything should work? Guess the 'understanding' is they decide what the limits are, and all the rest just say "OK"?

Still, that doesn't sound very non-coercive now does it? Sounds more like 'Do as I say, not as I do'!
