The Dark side of the Socialist State

Post by kbot » 09-19-2015 07:18 AM

Don't get me started on social workers..........

If you want to see an example of a socialist state in inaction, look no further than Massachusetts which has a social program for everything imaginable.

So, is it any wonder that when a member of society's most vulnerable class needs the help of "the system", that she's in for a letdown?

Snippet:

How Could the State Not Know 'Baby Doe'?

With two visits for neglect and two previous children taken away from Rachelle Bond, how could Massachusetts’ Department of Children and Families not have recognized Bella Bond?

For months, the mystery behind Baby Doe, the dead child found in a trash bag on the edge of Boston’s Deer Island, dumbfounded law enforcement as they followed tips across the state, country and the world trying to find out the identity of this girl—and what happened to her.

A computer generated image of the child was shared millions of times. Her face was on the front page of local papers, in stacks near the checkout counter of nearly every convenient store in the city. Her soft brown eyes stared out at commuters going in and out of Boston on a billboard pleading with drivers to, “Remember me?”

For 85 days it seemed like nobody did.

“Since June, the Department has been working closely with law enforcement on exploring dozens of leads in hopes to identify the little girl found on Deer Island,” said DCF spokesperson Rhonda Mann in a statement.

They did a “sweep” of all the open cases involving toddlers around her age. Department agents say social workers visited every one of those children.

But they never reached out to Bella. Despite Rachelle Bond’s repeated run-ins with the department, since Bella’s case was closed, it wasn’t involved in the sweep. And despite the millions of images around the world, and around the city, her soft brown eyes never rang any bells to the DCF workers who had met with her before.

Bella’s death will do no service to the Department of Children and Families’ already embattled reputation.

What is aggravating to me is this system we have in place where young women can rattle off all the things they are now "entitled to" since they are pregnant in today's society in Massachusetts. And, trust me, people know "the system" very well: the extra money every month "for food", the car chair, vouchers and so forth.

And, of course, the more kids, the more "benefits". So, "who" is watching the kids.........?

The social workers who have pushed all these rules on society and force the taxpayers to not only pay their salary, but also provide these benefits, claim that they are "too busy" to be held responsible for their cases, and will be brought-in to court as witnesses for the parents who have it so bad in society.

They can do all the "counseling", that "society" demands, in order to keep those checks rolling, but who is looking out for the kids.........????????????
There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles and piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free. (Moody Blues)

Society seems to be heading for the Machiavellian root, "The End Always,Justifies The Means." The fact that human life means very little these days. If a living , breathing babies life is in the way of your happiness, or profit then it is socially acceptable to murder it, with no consequences, as the Planned Parenthood " horror has demonstrated. Murder of a living human is "acceptable", but then , selling body parts used to be illegal, that seems to be acceptable also. So hay, if some one needs a better life with out your kids go for it, if you need a new body part, that young guy over there, would be a good choice, he's still alive....no problem....

Human "Blood Lust" , all justifiable of course. We are the scary aliens that eat us.

It's called "falling between the cracks" with these social systems. Sadly it has been going on far longer than some might think.

And worse yet - it is getting WORSE.

Some problems of course are people moving around as they get kicked out of places for not paying rent, or places lost to fires. Some problems are heavy work loads for the social workers as more and more families fall into that work load. One worker said if she visited all the families in her stacks of files it would take almost two months to actually visit each just once. AND to add to it- they are supposed to inform the family WHEN they will be visiting.

AND when one goes off the lists as seems to be this case...they are forgotten about.

I'm just stunned that no one in the system is being held accountable. There were billboard images of this young girl plastered all over the place around here, and local news coverage almost nightly, especially once they were able to get a remarkably, close image developed by an artist.

Sure, the mother and her boyfriend are being charged, but what about the dept of social services? They had records on this girl, her mom and the living situation. Don't they bear any responsibility other than doling out checks and scolding society as being a very bad place and a very bad group of people that forces others to live the way they do, which in turn, forces THEM to have become social workers in the first place?????

And (once again.....) the "introspection" and gnashing of teeth begins, as it inevitably does, when "the system" fails.......

Snippet:

Most of these children’s stories have gone untold, either because their plight wasn’t known to the state until they died, or because the state’s missteps and failures to protect them were long concealed by confidentiality laws and secrecy. An examination of these latter cases shows that mistakes occur at all levels of the child welfare process — from at-risk youths the system failed to catch, to children with open social services cases who fell through the cracks, to infants like William who were funneled into a program meant for lower-risk situations that proved insufficient to save them.

DCF already has faced harsh criticism for failing to protect children under its watch, including Jeremiah Oliver, a Fitchburg toddler who disappeared and was later found dead by a highway last year, and 7-year-old Jack Loiselle of Hardwick, who fell into a coma in July after his father allegedly starved and beat him. Earlier this month, Governor Charlie Baker held a press conference to say that DCF “has many systemic problems and we are going to fix them . . . No one is standing here and saying everything is fine.”
Commissioner Linda Spears and Governor Charlie Baker held a press conference earlier this month.

However, many child specialists worry the state swings from one tragedy to the next without learning from past mistakes or implementing lasting reforms. The state’s basic child fatality data is faulty, review teams set up to analyze the causes of fatalities don’t often meet, and DCF social workers say they often are kept from learning anything about what went wrong when a child dies, the New England Center’s review found.

“It’s a very dysfunctional system. Not only is DCF failing, but the other eye of the state, the child fatality review teams, are largely nonfunctional,” said Dr. Robert Sege, a vice president at the Boston-based nonprofit Health Resources in Action who sits on a review team for Suffolk County that has not met for over a year. “How do you make improvements if you don’t open your eyes and look at what is going on?”

The New England Center and the Boston Globe obtained information about child abuse and neglect deaths caused by parents and caretakers through a public records request. Center staff also spent months reviewing court and police records, and interviewing families and child experts for this story, and found that:

■ Thirty-eight children who died from 2009 through 2013 had received services from state social workers, and 26 of those were under state supervision at the time of their deaths. It is thought that others had some contact with DCF, either to receive voluntary services or because their family was the subject of a complaint that social workers dismissed. But DCF declined to release information about complaints that had been rejected.

■A six-year-old DCF intake system for handling maltreatment complaints — opposed by the union that represents social workers — divides children into high-risk and lower-risk categories, and assigns the less risky cases to workers with lower training requirements. From 2009 to 2013, 10 children on the lower-risk track died, including seven in 2013, records show, raising questions about whether the system has enough safeguards to protect children.

■ The DCF screening system does not require social workers to do criminal background checks on a child’s caretakers when analyzing neglect and abuse complaints — a policy that some child advocates say leaves a huge gap in assessing risk.

■ The state keeps shoddy data on child deaths, and its child fatality review system is crippled by a lack of funds and resources. The New England Center found 10 children who were not included in state data even though their deaths were ruled to be homicides, and, in most cases, parents or other caretakers were implicated.

Fairly certain most other states have this same problem to some degree........

Interesting synopsis of the "selling the body parts" issue from the PP videos......

Snippet:

The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all nine:

In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

In the second video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joked, “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiated the best price for baby parts.

In the third video: Holly O’Donnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs.

In the fourth video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were “good to go.”

In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthood’s skill in obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” and how her “research” department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.”

In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”

In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”

In the eighth video: StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admits Planned Parenthood sells “a lot of” fully intact aborted babies.

The ninth video: catches a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies — including one who “just fell out” of the womb.

The 10th video: catches the nation’s biggest abortion business selling specific body parts — including the heart, eyes and “gonads” of unborn babies. The video also shows the shocking ways in which Planned Parenthood officials admit that they are breaking federal law by selling aborted baby body parts for profit.

Yup, PP is "a vital service".......... as Obama and Hilary would say. Especially if you want a Lamborghini............

This a kinda interesting - if viewed from the "donation" angle. "Get 'em while their young", I guess........ And make sure that your parents don't know about it either

Kinda puts line about video # 6 in the previous post in a new light, doesn't it?

So, are they saying that these people are lying? I'd I were making half a BILLION annually in taxpayer-funded grants, I'd be throwing all kinds of aspersions on those making allegations as well. As the doc said - she needs a new sports car.......

kbot - yes they (dems) are saying the videos are fakes. Several posted on fb.

So the sold parts - monies used for?? and yet the dems refused to cut funding to planned parenthood. Do not get me wrong - originally the program did excellent work helping women - but there are other programs out there that do the same original HELP and do not do the abortion sales stuff. BUT other programs get -- nothing in way of fed monies (or didn't they might be now, but unknown).

AND have the women in these video's had charges brought against them? OR even an investigation into what they do with the monies received?

I was listening to Geraldo last week and he was discussing the "starkness" of Carly's remarks during the CNN debate relative to Planned Parenthood and the video(s). I thought to myself- well in truth it is stark and nasty and disgusting, but not when you discuss it in terms of euphemisms over white wine and salad.

Just another testament to how effective white wine and denial are used as coping skills.

You notice the PETA Verite filming is absolutely right on but when dealing with actual life and babies, quite a different matter.

The number of post-abortion support groups has escalated across the country. One would think that if Planned Parenthood's "services" were so great, that women would be flocking THERE for support, but the number of support groups separate from PP is remarkable - it's as if people want to get as far away from them post-procedure as possible. Usually, in heallllthcare, the reverse is true. One has their surgery and support in the same place.......
