He did later shake her hand later on.......... I also watched their little press conference. It was interesting. Merkel's body language when with Obama has always been, girlish, flirtatious almost, like the pictures of Putin and Hitlery there was a" chemistry" there. Not so with Merkel and Trump, Merkel's Feathers where Fluffed, and she took on a "Well, we German's are superior, thing" Pretty sure she was simply, horrified by Trumps straight on unbridled approach. He he! :D

Well now, The Bill Has Been Pulled, Tabled, what ever. BUT, I believe someday it can be brought back up, I don't know about time frame. Now, watch the Media and Globalists Call Trump A Failure. It will never be about The Who, That Failed Trump.

As the War Continues............. :goodevil: .

I tellya whut, moving ahead my understanding is the next item on the agenda is tax policy. That should be relatively easy to build a consensus on and pass. Get some wins, build up momentum, then the rest of the agenda should be less taxing -

Of course "Should" being the operative word - If the squabbling continues, a collective shot in the foot ain't gonna get the GOP and the administration anywhere.... OR the country for that matter!

"Should" be easy. Passing the repeal of Obamacare "should" have been easy, especially having had seven YEARS to get their act together. I can appreciate wanting to get rid of many of the requirements on healthcare as Obamacare added enormously to the increasing costs to deliver healthcare and the results are mixed at best. As just one example, Obamacare required quick moves to electronic medical records, which as a concept, is an admirable goal.

But Obama literally threw money at the issue, offering inducements to facilities that met benchmarks for implantation by certain dates. Those that met the deadline and could demonstrate utilization via methods such as meaningful use criteria were rewarded with millions in cash payouts. For healthcare faculties, this meant large financial success, for others, financial disaster. Some health systems switched from one vendor to another and in the process, wrecked their facility's financial health and wellbeing, with many going under due to the increased financial costs.

Additionally there were new costs for hardware, networks, network security, and then the new risks that came with the loss of patient privacy as it was quickly discovered that many systems were hackable.

Neither side considered, nor appreciated, the Pandora's box created by Obamacare's insistence on EMR and what the system would cost - and the ongoing costs necessary to maintain.

This, combined with many other, more local, features that many found objectionable - such as the constant doctor hunt as docs switched physician groups which didn't accept all plans. to rising deductibles and premiums coupled with reduced coverage options should have enabled the GOP to build a consensus, but, having had seven years to build a better plan, they went straight for the jugular and looked to find ways to, what many American viewed as, an attempt to provide them with a product that required more in premiums but far less in terms of coverage.

Whether the government should even be in the business of proving healthcare is a debate that is probably over - we've had Medicare and Medicaid for decades, and now that Americans have had greater access to healthcare than was possible over the past few generations, the likelihood of putting that genie in the bottle has evaporated.

Trump and the GOP had the opportunity to lay out a plan to the American people to lower premiums and provide better coverage, repeal the individual mandate and rein in out of control costs exacerbated by Obamacare.

Instead, whether due to their inability to control the narrative, what the American people HEARD was "24 million will be left without healthcare", and a long list of areas of care ranging from Lab tests to rehabilitation, to pediatric care and women's health were being cut. People started asking, "Then WHAT are we paying for?????"

The perception, at least, was that in a Trump administration already corporate-heavy, was now about to embark on a massive payout to the corporate execs in the health insurance industry and groups like Big Pharm.......

Whether that was actually true or not is debatable, but it is obvious that the people in the Trump administration are political novices, clearly over their heads and sinking badly. They're pointing fingers at each other, blaming each other and are losing whatever momentum and support within the GOP that they had coming-in as individual members pf Congress face their own re-election battles.

Should be interesting if nothing else......

Very well said Kbot, may I use your post to send to others?

I have to agree that this was a Mistake for sure for Trump and Administration. But, one that may have some"lemonade" to be made yet? As people suffer the out come, their voices are going to get really loud. The Democrat folks don't suffer well, and may force the Dems to have a "Come To The Table Moment" .So, while the Media Rips and Smears, it will not change the "Reality" of the situation. So we wait.

I think Trump may understand, "Government" a bit better, and where the break-down between, "Government and Private Enterprise" is , Had he tried to build his Empire within the Government he would have been lucky to have built one lonely "Out House" with his name on it! And so it goes.

Ha ha!

Hmm! It seems Mrs or Miss Merkel is in dire need of a experienced community organizer inside Germany per her welcoming that huge influx of immigrants. Now that Obama is unemployed we should recommend him to her! First off he could teach them proper toiletry and the reasons behind having rest rooms available to the general public!

:P

kbot, your lines are a great dissection giving answers to what just happened with the ACA potential re-do. What you wrote I'd never heard told among all the callers trying to do the same thing on early and late evening conservative talk radio. You said it best and thanks :!: :) :o

I still believe health care costs going through the hospital roof, like the $10 aspirin, don't mention the elephant in the room. Which IS the room rent per day of $8,000 - $10,000 + :!:

All we have to do is visit You Tube to watch the dumb stuff people do for a dare and giggles. Like jumping from roof to roof, fail  , skateboarding down handrails, fail  , jumping bikes, fail  , etc, etc, all which generally leads to emergency room visits. Where the nurses and doctors have to ask the question, "Would you explain once again just what you were doing to injure yourself?"

$Cha ching!

(MK II how are you ?) I'm doing well Doka and thanks for asking. It's great to have great health insurance via working for it and never expecting that peace of mind to be my entitlement!

Now that I'm using that health insurance more frequently. I wish more folks would post with me under Paranormal. Since life is a brief warm moment and death is a long cold rest!

You may - I think that the Trump administration just got a wake-up call in that the government is not like running a corporation where "the word" comes down from on high and is immediately implemented. In the government there are 50 states/ 100 senators/ 435 House members -all with their own interests. Completely different ballgame.

Even using the recent analogy of the passage of Obamacare with only Democrat support - this same plan won't with the repeal and replace strategy as many members of the GOP are up for re-election next year, and the Dems don't have to support the GOP plan.

Should be interesting to see if the administration learned anything......

Sometimes you can get the measure of a MAN BY WHO HATES HIM.

"Sometimes clues to what people are about , can be found by those who hate them. A lot of people hate Trump as we all know. Terrorist, communists, socialists, Hollywood, Soros, most of the lame street media, psychopath actors, Iran, most of the Middle East hellhole countries, most of the Europian leaders, the Clintons, Obamas, all the democrat senators, some of the nutty republican senators, and millions of Americans that hate him because he is richer than they are. I'm sure those are all legit reasons. " LOL

This was sent to me by a friend, who also tells me, that Saudi Arabia is the Money behind Soros, Obamie, Clinton and other Demons Allover the world. I have to think about it some more. Although, it seems to make sense, wasn't it Bush and Obamie that kissed the Saudi ring, on the Saudi's Kings hand? Correct me if I got that wrong......

EPA Administrator: Trump Is Keeping His Promise To Deal With Regulatory Overreach

Post by Riddick » 04-04-2017 12:36 AM

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt told “Fox News Sunday” that President Donald Trump is keeping his promise “to rollback regulatory overreaches” that have occurred during the Obama administration.

“I think what's important this past week is to recognize that the president is keeping his promise to the American people to rollback regulatory overreaches that have been occurring the last couple of years. And as you know, the Clean Power Plan is subject to a U.S. Supreme Court state,” Pruitt said.

“The steps have been taken by the EPA historically. They've equally been challenged several times with respective CO2 regulation, and each of those times, the Supreme Court and courts have said that the power that has been used has been an overreach,” he said.

“And so, the president is keeping his promise to deal with that overreach, Chris. It doesn't mean that clean air and clean water is not going to be the focus in the future. We're just going to do it right within the consistency of the framework that Congress has passed,” Pruitt added.
