Obama’s hidden Iran deal giveaway

When President Barack Obama announced the “one-time gesture” of releasing Iranian-born prisoners who “were not charged with terrorism or any violent offenses” last year, his administration presented the move as a modest trade-off for the greater good of the Iran nuclear agreement and Tehran’s pledge to free five Americans.

“Iran had a significantly higher number of individuals, of course, at the beginning of this negotiation that they would have liked to have seen released,” one senior Obama administration official told reporters in a background briefing arranged by the White House, adding that “we were able to winnow that down to these seven individuals, six of whom are Iranian-Americans.”

But Obama, the senior official and other administration representatives weren’t telling the whole story on Jan. 17, 2016, in their highly choreographed rollout of the prisoner swap and simultaneous implementation of the six-party nuclear deal, according to a POLITICO investigation............

Oh yeah, Trump is making things so much worse.......

Trump? Oh yeah, he's a trouble maker alright. Dealing with Iran, ISIS, North Korea, health care, trade, tax policy, immigration reform - you name it - ANY concerns, foreign or domestic, none of that is the problem. But his NOT dealing with it all is!

The real trouble with Trump is his ignoring and/or neglecting the real issues, and instead devoting an inordinate amount of time to the golf course. And traveling. His predecessor was roundly and routinely criticized for his irrepressible personal indulgences, not the least of it coming from Trump himself

But that was then. This is now - and for many who did that, it appears taking The Donald to task for those same sort of obscenities doesn't have that same sort of appeal... From Mark Evanier at newsfromme.com:

• Right-wing pundit Jay Nordlinger lists some of the things conservatives overlook about Trump that outraged them when done by a Democratic president…like playing a lot of golf. A Republican friend of mine used to insist that Obama's frequent usage of the words "I" and "me" proved he was a self-obsessed narcissist who was out of touch with reality. I haven't heard that friend weighing in on Trump's insistence that he really won the popular vote, that he had a bigger turnout for his inauguration than Obama, that he's really popular despite what every single poll says, etc.

Heard on the new this morning that the people Obama arranged for release were not "ordinary citizens" as he told us, but actually weapons manufacturers.
