When one is among other things a comedian, what comes with that as is often the case is the combination of a complicated personality and pushing the envelope.
John Cleese is complicated. He's no fan of the current Politically Correct crowd. At the same time, to infer he's super conservative or hard Right would be incorrect.
He's been critical of extremist politics on either side of the spectrum. No hard Right or far Left radical, he. Though one may wonder about that last one after his recent "joke" about his upcoming birthday and a presidential assassination.
Beyond Milwaukee's Mark Belling radio show, no mention of this ill advised jest has appeared either in local or national MSM. Aside a blog post, and a statement from Sandy Maxx on her Facebook feed, good luck finding anything on the Web.
While Cleese can be funny, this is NO laughing matter. What remains to be seen is whether and to what extent the FBI will further complicate the Python alum's life.
