The Four Horsewomen of the Democrat Apocalypse

Pestilence, Famine, War, and Death take a blow from Nancy Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi issued a spanking to the enfants terribles of her caucus this week. The corporal punishment elicited more of the temper tantrums that brought about the spanking in the first place.

Pelosi, channeling her inner Bill Belichick — the well-known critic of Snapface and Instachat — told The New York Times, “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world. But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”

In other words, talk is cheap on Capitol Hill, where passing or stopping legislation, and practicing politics as the art of the possible rather than howling Man of La Mancha-style impossible dreams, serves as political currency.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who this week mocked the idea of any relationship with Pelosi and theorized that leadership assigned her a heavy workload to mute her voice, reacted by — what else? — tweet: “I find it strange when members act as though social media isn’t important.”

Governing the United States of America, it turns out, isn’t as fun as lording over the United States of Twitter.

She further called Pelosi’s words and actions “outright disrespectful,” essentially accusing her of racism by an “explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”

The Four Horsewomen of the Democratic Apocalypse, elected in districts that vote for one candidate by margins normally seen in totalitarian regimes holding dog-and-pony elections, do not suffer politically by pushing the party outside the mainstream. Indeed, their constituents likely reward them. So, for reasons political and, perhaps more so, ideological, they push policies at odds with prevailing public opinion.

Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar all seek to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), support a Green New Deal that triples the size of the federal government, advocate for reparations, and push for a government healthcare takeover that outlaws the private insurance plans that cover most Americans.

The Four Horsewomen do not seem to understand that politics requires persuasion rather than pronouncements. To pass or prevent legislation, a decree, from a freshman member no less, does not accomplish the task. The 431 other members may not agree with them. Pestilence, Famine, War, and Death do well when it comes to rallying the base. They fail miserably in convincing anyone on the fence or in opposition. In fact, the Four Horsewomen push fence-sitters to the other side, inspire hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to the Republicans, and scare Ohioans, Michiganders, and Floridians to vote for Trump. Ironically, they gladly assume the role of the liberal boogeyman character that Pelosi seems eager to give up.

San Francisco elected Nancy Pelosi. But so did the Democratic caucus, which includes members from Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Kansas, and other states that tend to go red in presidential elections. She grasps, to a degree, that what pleases her constituents in San Francisco likely loses her the speaker’s gavel. She governs with this as a reference point (even if the reference point does not pull her as strongly as some would like).

Although I think the Author of the above article aptly "labeled" the "4 Horsewomen" just not sure Nancy is in control of any of them. We have the Young and the Stupid out there. A group growing by the day.

Not sure Trump did the right thing calling them out. But, I'm not walking in his shoes. If I where, I would have "Walked Away" a long time ago and let this Country "Eat Its Self". And Me with it. The man is absolutely astounding to still be standing with all the abuse he has endured, with No Pay, just so, people like me can KEEP. What we have(not that much) and live free and with dignity (Most Important).

The resolution would rap Trump for racist tweets, but Collins said denigrating the president violates House rules. He moved to have Pelosi's remarks stricken.

What a zinger calling them the 4 Horesewomen! One wonders if anyone of them has even riden on top of a real live horse? We'll likely never know Doka, and thanks for that post/& links along with your wisdom.

Suggesting the 4 go back to their old jobs would have been the ticket. The Mitchigander Tlaib lady demeaned the office of POTUS when her bleeped out curse words were spoken in front of public news cameras a few months ago!

If she lived in other countries restricting freedom of speech. She would be sleeping behind bars 'cept for when she would be released to dig coal 16 hours a day times 365!

Dirt being flung both ways will fill many dump trucks between now and November 2020! So to Trumps detractors, we say get over it!

In their epic freakout over President Trump’s “racist tweets” over the weekend – presumably against “The Squad” of four radical freshman congresswomen -- the Left tried to shame Trump supporters with hashtags like #SilenceEqualsConsent and #SilenceEqualsCompliance.

On Saturday, an Antifa activist named Willem von Spronsen was shot dead outside an ICE detention facility in Tacoma, Washington after he showed up with a rifle and incendiary devices and started setting things on fire. He also tried to light a propane tank.

So when a reporter from the Canadian website The Rebel asked members of the Squad on Tuesday afternoon if they would condemn Antifa and this terror attack in particular, he got silence.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez refused to answer the question. Rep. Ilhan Omar refused to answer the question. Rep. Ayanna Pressley refused to answer the question. Now does silence equal consent?

The questioner was telling the legislators "it's not hard" to condemn terror attacks, but they refused. There's nobody on the Left they would reject as using unacceptably violent tactics?

These women must feel that this is a "right-wing" questioner, so they don't have to answer. AOC will answer a question in the hallway from CNN, but not from conservative journalists.

They also may feel justified in silence because the liberal media is so quiet on the Tacoma violence. CBS and NBC skipped reporting on Tacoma. ABC gave it 17 seconds on Sunday morning. CNN reported on the story in little bits on Saturday....until it became clear the deceased attacker left behind an Antifa manifesto.

Ben Shapiro tweeted, "Hey, CNN, want to take a break from asking Richard Spencer about his Trump tweet opinions and maybe ask the Squad about a TERROR ATTACK?"

Instead, on Wednesday night, CNN and MSNBC jumped on the latest pro-Squad bandwagon, objecting to some people in Trump's rally crowd in North Carolina chanting "Send Her Back" when Trump was talking about Omar. They're almost always on defense for the Democrats....and they will spike anyone who asks tough questions they refuse to ask.

Apparently, James Comey isn’t getting enough attention these days. Thus, he decided to step off in the drama brewing between President Trump and the so-called House Squad. As the Gateway Pundit explains:

“With our voices and our 2020 votes, we must send Donald Trump and his mob back to their dark corner,” Comey tweeted on Thursday in response to chants of “send her back” heard at Trump’s North Carolina rally Wednesday evening after the president brought up Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Ilhan Omar, a Somali-born Democrat Congresswoman in Minnesota married her own brother to defraud US immigration, filed fraudulent tax returns and perjured herself many times according to documents and reports.

Ilhan Omar also supports terrorist organizations, fundraises with Hamas front group CAIR and refuses to condemn Al-Qaeda.

Clearly, Comey hates America just as much as Omar does. And he’s not tweeting to defend her out of the goodness of his heart. He's acting on that age old adage, ‘the enemy of my enemy is also my friend.’ Comey hopes Omar will come to his aid when the walls close in.

Trump is still sitting pretty in the Oval Office. And now he appointed AG Barr to investigate the investigations. When that happened, Comey got scared. Feathers ruffled, he started looking for a few friends in low places because he knows the day of his incarceration is looming.

Comey uses Twitter often to market the idea of Fidelity Bravery Integrity. Apparently he really wants to convince himself that he epitomizes those character traits. Nobody’s fooled.
