I watched most of the interview and was wondering just where Vindman's allegence was really at? The United States, whose military uniform he wears or the Ukraine? I guess I'm not the only one.........Who does he work for?



Does Vindman Have a Ukraine Interest Beyond Foreign Policy?

I interrupted the normal morning routine, and I started to think about one of my own little laws of thought: when you see someone doing something you think is stupid, stop and ask, "what if they are actually smarter than you?" What would explain their actions?

A lot of times, it turns out to be that they're not pursuing the same goals you think they are. One of those things recently is the impeachment inquisition. Of course, we are led to believe that the purpose is to break Trump's lease, but that seems sort of a forlorn hope. And after three years of #Resistance, they have the base in the terminal stages of Trump Dementia to satisfy.

But there's another aspect to this that keeps coming up. We know from that original book about Clinton's campaign that RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA went into top gear in the Clinton machine within hours of realizing they lost the election. And while the perpetual gaslighting has made it hard to see, we're now aware of things like government surveillance of the Trump campaign, and of people associated with Trump, starting almost as soon as Trump announced. We also became aware that the DNC and the Clintons were actually connected to Russian intelligence through a couple of cut-outs, notably Fusion GPS and Perkins Coie — and that literally hundreds of millions of dollars were going into the Clinton Foundation from Russia and Ukraine, and thanks to a 2017 article in Politico, we know that the previous administration in Ukraine was going way out of its way to try and help the Clinton campaign.

Sorry Doka - I have to call BS. Lt. Col. Alex Vindman arrived here as a child and along with his brothers, have faithfully served this country. From the same Wikipedia site - what you left out......

Congressman Nunes, who NEVER served, and was apparently baffled by the Lt Col's uniform insisted on addressing him as "Mister", which is not surprising given that Trump also never served and has no use for the military.

Is it any surprise that the US Army has announced, given the political partisan attacks, that they are providing additional security for the Lt Colonel and his family.....?????

Army providing security assistance to Vindman, a key witness in impeachment hearings

The U.S. Army is providing security assistance to Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, the Army officer who testified Tuesday before a House impeachment hearing. Vindman, currently serving on the White House National Security Council, testified about his concerns about President Donald Trump's July phone call with Ukraine's president.

"The Army is providing supportive assistance to help Lt. Col. Vindman with the public attention," Col. Kathy Turner, an Army spokeswoman, said in a written statement.

"As a matter of practice, the Army would neither confirm nor deny any safety or security measures taken on behalf of an individual; however, as we would with any Soldier, the Army will work with civilian authorities to ensure that he and his family are properly protected," she added.

Another U.S. official told ABC News that there is no imminent threat to Vindman's safety, but that it is important that the Vindman family feel they are safe.

The Army will always do what it has to do to protect a soldier, the official said.

As Vindman has risen to become an important figure in the impeachment proceedings, the Army has undertaken security assessments about his family's physical security. For now, the Army is monitoring his home with "routine physical surveillance from law enforcement," the official told ABC News.

Should additional security concerns need to be addressed, the U.S. official speculated that moving the Vindman family to a military base in the Washington area could become an option.

During Tuesday's hearing, Vindman acknowledged that he has been disparaged on social media because of the testimony he has provided the congressional committees leading Trump's impeachment hearings. In his opening remarks, he said he wanted to recognize the courage of his colleagues who have and were scheduled to testify.

"I want to state that the character of attacks on these distinguished and honorable public servants is reprehensible," he told lawmakers. "It is natural to disagree and engage in spirited debate. This has been the custom of our country since the time of our founding fathers, but we are better than personal attacks."

It's not "sweet" Doka, it's actually military regulations for him to do so. But, just as the GOP House leadership didn't grasp this simple concept, it shows just how far out of touch they are with the military they pretend to support so well.

Look even today's testimony shows how quickly the ship is listing as the Trump appointees al are admitting that, yes, "there was a quid pro quo, and everyone knew about it.........."

Former Whitewater Independent Counsel Ken Starr said Wednesday that the testimony of Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland all but guarantees articles of impeachment will be drawn up by House Democrats, and laid out what he believed to be House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff's claim that he had enough proof for the House to impeach President Trump.

"Substantively, what we heard from the chairman just now, is, 'It's over. We now know' -- I mean, this is his position, 'We now know that the president, in fact, committed the crime of bribery, there's something of value.' That's litigable, but I think the articles of impeachment are being drawn up, if they haven't already been drawn up. ... This obviously has been one of those bombshell days," said Starr, predicting that the Democrats will now allege obstruction by the administration after Sondland testified that he was not allowed to access documents that could have aided his testimony.

"Everyone was in the loop. It was no secret," Sondland testified in his opening remarks, saying he believed there was a "potential quid pro quo" involving U.S. military aid to Ukraine and investigations desired by Trump – yet said he never heard that link from the president himself.

Starr said Sondland was "vehement" in his claim that he was denied "access to records to help him."

These House hearings are a waste of time. Why bother with proof or actual evidence of a crime when it's obvious he's guilty of whatever? Forget having a Senate trial. Let's skip formalities & cut to the chase.

Agreed! Have the military march in the WH and oust the lying son of a bitc*. Why bother with a fair process with credible witness after witness? Why give the Republicans a chance to cross examine the witnesses, which they miserably failed at ? Question: Where is it legal that we can have a private attorney shape US foreign policy?

Face it, the GOP House members are in such a rush to crawl up Trump's ass that they're selling the country down the river. Our PAID, legally-appointed members, with decades of experience in the the government are being trashed while the GOP House members see who can crawl the further up Trump's ass.
