FIRST CONTACT? The woman who claimed in 1894 she visited Mars and spoke to aliens. A WOMAN claimed that she visited Mars... and communicated with aliens there, nearly 125 years ago.

Hélène Smith, from Martigny in Switzerland, first began to claim she had contact with alienswhile aged 33 in 1894.

The French national, whose real name was Catherine-Elise Müller, claimed for the next five years to actually "visit Mars" and "communicate with aliens" there while having visions after going into a trance -like state.

The idea that aliens existed on other worlds dates back as far as at least the fourth century BC.

By the 1750s most educated people across Europe accepted there were extraterrestrials out there, and by the nineteenth century, many people thought there was intelligent life on Mars, Venus, and the Moon.

This is why it is so much easier to just keep your mouth shut!

The Ebb and Flow of Alien Awareness has always been with us. We are on our way to a great vacuum regarding Alien Contact. Have you ever thought about the rather sudden appearance of the Vikings? Then, they seemed to disappear in the same manor, but not with out giving our DNA a bit of refreshing, many of us have what they left behind running through our veins for "better or worse". They where an extremely brutal bunch.

Today, NASA held a press conference saying the Mars Curiosity Rover has found organic molecules on Mars. This is not news - this is merely delayed official response to what we already know, which makes it curious as to why after decades of denial, we are edging closer to confirmation. Moreover, why does NASA continue to contradict itself when it comes to the discovery of life in space? FULL POST

Big Dust Storm Blows up on Mars (Updated)

By: Bob King | June 25, 2018 (updated July 11)

Atmospheric scientists may pray for a global dust storm to blow up on Mars, but the rest of us . . . please, no! Just as the Red Planet began to inch into the evening sky, a swath of bright, yellow dust clouds lit up over the dark albedo feature Mare Acidalium at the end of May.

Within days, the gale had moved south and expanded, covering much of Sinus Meridiani, Oxia Palus, and Margaritifer Sinus and coursing the length and breadth of the sprawling Martian canyon system Valles Marineris. This is a big storm. Under the eye of NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, it measures more than 18 million square km (7 million square miles), an area greater than the continent of North America. (But see update at the end of the article.)

There's a Strange Cloud on Mars Right Now, and It's Just Hanging Around

By Meghan Bartels, Senior Writer | October 25, 2018 03:00pm ET

For more than a month now, a European orbiter circling Mars has been watching a long, plume-like cloud on the Red Planet.

The cloud has remained in place over a mountain called Arsia Mons near the Martian equator since Sept. 13, according to a statement released by the European Space Agency (ESA). But that location is just a coincidence, the agency adds. No volcanic process is producing the cloud — the volcano hasn't been active in about 50 million years, scientists believe.
In this version of a Mars Express image of the strange cloud, the European Space Agency has labeled nearby geologic features.

The same spacecraft, called Mars Express, and its predecessors have spotted similar clouds on at least three previous occasions, and those structures formed around the same time in the Martian year. And that's not a coincidence, the ESA wrote.

The cloud is full of water ice, the agency continued, created by air flow along the side of the volcano. This means the feature is what scientists call an orographic or lee cloud. That also happens to mean that the cloud changes over the course of the day as atmospheric patterns on Mars change.
A second instrument aboard Mars Express captured this image of the strange cloud in visual and infrared light on Sept. 17, 2018.

Scientists watching the cloud have noticed that it grows over the course of the morning, stretching along the equator. It may also be affected by the dust still in the atmosphere from the massive dust storm that engulfed Mars earlier this year.
