Actually I love looking for old tools - gardening or otherwise at garage sales and flea markets.

I do too, You find much better quality for a fraction of the cost of new. I usually look for the "made in USA" stamp and then I buy it. Who would think old USA products would be in demand? People around here just walk by that stuff, not me.

Let me tell you something - I was in Sur La Table a while back and every pan I picked up "made in China" and nothing in that store is inexpensive. Even the All Clad are now made in China.
I purchased a 15 piece set of about 40 year old Revere Ware made in Clinton Illinois on EBay and very very happy and in fab shape.
I'm with you -I buy the old stuff and much happier.
