Hey Hey New Orleans!
On my way home from work tonight -- in the snowy slush that Swerdloc has yet to realize -- I stopped by a store to buy...supplies, and the kid at the cash-out counter was all decked out in Saints stuff. In a state where only the Big Red "N" is allowed. At first, he was all giggly (are you old enough, Ma'am? Yes son, I responded. I know! said he. I only asked because they make me! )) But then he got serious, looked into my eyes and said "I just moved here from New Orleans (New Orleans to Iowa???? God Bless him). And we really need this."
PRAYERS THAT THE SAINTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL. May I start the official thread!

That my Saints are IN the Superbowl is a dream come true for me.
For them to win .... Oh man, I don't know if I could handle it. But it sure would be fun to try.
And maybe next Superbowl will be Cleavland's turn. They've never been ether.

A nice write-up in our local paper this morning opens with "The Who's appearance at the Superbowl half-time tonight is a measure of how high rock-and-roll has climbed, and how far it has fallen."
So, at least one team that a lot of people care about and now has historical gravitas, an ageless band at halftime with no exposed boob to spoil it, and an emotionally ravaged country that could really use something to be happy about. I guess the only thing that can wreck it now are tasteless commercials, of which more and more have been cropping up in recent years. We'll see how that goes. But all in all, this is shaping up to be a very, very nice night.

LOL Bud Light is doing 'Lost' in their commercials today! Just had to remark on that. (The first one I saw had one of the actors (for 'Lost' fans, it was François Chau, who plays Dr. Pierre Chang, wearing a lab coat LOL), and the second one was an island airplane crash scene (they found the beverage cooler in the wreckage ). Very cool and funny!

Yeah, I tell people I'm rooting for The Who.
