Deadly virus WORSE than plague and with no CURE breaks out - WHO

A DEADLY outbreak of a rare and highly fatal virus has broken out in eastern Uganda and five cases have already been identified, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed.

The disease, known as Marburg virus disease (MVD), is similar to Ebola and can be lethal in up to 90 per cent of cases.

Emergency screening has begun at the Kenya-Uganda border in Turkana after three members of the same family died of the disease in Uganda.

The outbreak is thought to have started in September when a man in his 30s, who worked as a game hunter and lived near a cave with a heavy presence of bats, was admitted to a local health centre with a high fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.

He did not respond to antimalarial treatment and his condition rapidly deteriorated.

We'll know it's bad if Trump suggests a travel ban from Uganda and no Democrats complain.

Yes Riddick, and both political parties will be late arrivals chatting up this news.

Besides Uganda, the Drudge Report this AM tells us we can now add Malawi to the African country's list getting longer by the week!

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest ... ert-Malawi

We'll know how bad it really is when we hear Boko Haram, (part of ISIS www Inc. in Africa) is donning face masks. Heck fire! Maybe they cooked up some new bio-terror weapon inside a deceased Christian family's kitchen converted into a evil clandestine laboratory! :(

It's obvious by now to all viewers brave and bashful. If I see more news of this on JUST the Drudge Report, you'll read it here PDQ :!:

We were talking about this at work yesterday. A few years ago, we (hospitals) had t develop policies on how to treat Ebola patients. This potentially will be far worse, given the miracles of air travel.

Thanks for moving this topic kbot. I was counting on you do to your work place being a New England hospital.

Why ISIS does not claim this Ebola-like virus to be THEIR terror event of the 21st Century, the Good Lord only knows! But hey kbot, let's all just give them plenty time to mull it over.

I should set the DVR to record some major newscast time to see if it's brought up. Knowing most of their real news comes to us in crawl script!

MK II  I think seeing the news of so many Chinese outdoors wearing surgical face masks is a good idea, anytime!

Do post links found inside major newscasts, so we can see who's on top of this plague in it's infancy.

MK II ................see you all again tomorrow morning with more on this same HUGE news from Matt Drudge who's sending out updated links daily.

What's interesting MK is that the place to go for Ebola is my old employer UNMC in Omaha (who knew, right?):

UNMC/Nebraska Medicine to be national Ebola center

The University of Nebraska Medical Center/Nebraska Medicine, in collaboration with Emory University in Atlanta and Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City, have been awarded a $12 million grant by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to establish and co-lead the nation’s National Ebola Training and Education Center (NETEC).

The three academic institutions will partner with the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the training of health care providers and facilities on strategies to manage Ebola and other emerging infectious diseases.

UNMC and its primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine, will receive $5.1 million of the $12 million federal grant - the largest share of the three collaborating institutions.

"We are pleased to receive this designation as a national leader in the world’s fight against Ebola and other infectious diseases," said Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., UNMC chancellor and advisory board chair for Nebraska Medicine. "Our campus is in this position because we have selfless, talented individuals who prepared for a decade to care for the sickest of patients in our biocontainment unit. They did so valiantly over several months in 2014, and they also have shared their expertise to train countless others from around the world in preparation for the next highly infectious disease outbreak.

"I also want to thank our state’s congressional delegation for their support and work in helping us receive this significant designation."

During the Ebola outbreak of 2014, UNMC/Nebraska Medicine was recognized as a national asset and referred to as the "gold standard" for treatment and development of safety protocols to handle Ebola and highly infectious diseases.

UNMC/Nebraska Medicine has the largest operational biocontainment unit in the nation.

I really miss my time at UNMC and try to stay in touch with people I worked with there back in the 70s and 80s. Fabulous place.....

All The News You Can't Use

Post by Riddick » 11-15-2017 04:58 PM

Weeknight as of late I've tuned to the BBC World Service on NPR, and would you believe all I've heard them talking about is everything and anything there is under the sun - but THIS STORY?? Absolutely ZIP

With the complete and total absence of reporting I'd say they're clearly dedicated and determined on not getting the news out.

That it's located in the center of the nation no doubt was a good plan kbot. While reading your link , knowing it was about their government grant, I figured this new virus would not be mentioned.

No news is good news in the good ole USA!

Docs are are being stricken down now kbot and one could hope UNMC saves everyone afflicted one day. But their brave help and expertise is here and not yet over there. Safer-self thinking may rule their judgement about going over there until the ww airborne SHTF arrives here.

More links from Drudge (3) coming soon in edits! Stand-by.............

Absolutely ZIP is your confirmation I was not surprised to read Riddick! We can guess their collective, over priced CEO's are saying ZIP to that news.

Between naps yesterday kbot and Riddick, Fox News was typically Fox News with the pundits, what-ever that means, and news men and ladies talking NY style over each other's statements. Last night at Toyota SW IN a gaggle of 40 snow geese flying North? 150' over my head at 12:45 AM sounded much better than they do, everyday! :P

So not yet have I heard a word of this "can't touch me!" virus yesterday or any day prior! Now PENSKE's trucks & the nation's travelers with Sirius-XM get's it for free through the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend! Channel 114 is FN and all I caught was a lot of tax reform and hang'em young Judge Roy (Bean) Moore on their news segments. Their talks were mum all the way!

Coast to Coast AM and what little I caught of Clyde Lewis on Ground Zero left SE Africa and Madagascar out of their talks too! But waaait for it :!: There'll come a day when we will all hear it when the death toll reaches a certain number or it arrives at a US airport's terminal.

It's about time Chicken Little does some serious squawking :!: This newest pneumonic plague could be terror from the skies again in the US, :frown: if the airlines bring it over and then into "our heads".

The Terror attack is in the "Message" designed to create fear and anticipation of doom, really, isn't that bad enough for you? How many are going to over prepare and just stop living waiting for "the end". How many times do we have to go through this stuff, the monthly End of the Worlder's, Ebola is going to get you, every year the Flu is going to kill ya, the "war" is going to get ya , climate change is "The End", Having children is the worst thing any body can do to the planet!

There is no end to creating "Fear"....... The real problem is finding a way to LIVE a good life until all this stuff happens Or Not.

With much sadness back in the 1918 - 1920 flu pandemic did get us by the millions. :(

Madagascar Black Death Patients Are Escaping Hospital and Refusing Treatment Sparking Fears It May Spread.

 Their biggest fear is needles and just being in hospital for the first time!

That's from The Sun in the UK via The Drudge Report, again! Why is MSM not yet giving this news time on the air?
