By triggering more than one at the same time in another Pearl Harbor/September 11, 2001-like surprise attack by one evil entity sending over their varied nukes big or less than the biggest in uncountable "multiples" on just one side of the planet. President Ronald Reagan did not have to explain M.A.D. on live TV years ago. Hearing his futuristic "Star Wars" anti-ICBM missile message, Americans could just let our collective minds wander in wonderment on the meaning of mutual assured destruction.

It must surely be that way vo and I've not been overseas to see it. Sadly though it is my favorite topic on TV and talk radio. And I stick with the news sources that stay on it hard. All of us know why the Fox News Channel, home based in New York City, treats the causes of 9/11/01 like it happened yesterday.

Knowing people on both sides of conflict, as well as those Croatia, Ukraine, and other countries, I've always asked why the hostility. The answer always has been "we have to wipe them out", or "we hate them". I have to say if I were president of the U.S. I would want to be more isolationist than the worlds cop. You can't police nations who are eternally at war.

I do see small rays of hope. Down the block from me is a fellow who is Saudi and very "opinionated". His culture is such that he's rough on the women. Lawn mowing and snow removal are "women's work". We've talked about the difference in cultures. The ray of hope is in his two young daughters, one 13 and the other 15, who occasionally wander down and talk with me while I work on the patio. They appear to realize that the fighting and killing is accomplishing nothing, and they fear going home to a place where they, or their children, could be killed for a variety of reasons. However, they don't understand our conflicts in Ferguson MO, Baltimore MD, and other locations. They don't understand why people don't want to work. They don't understand why we allow our politicians to do what they do. Like us trying to understand the conflict in the middle east, they struggle to understand us.

There are days I wish we could just have little fiefdoms and not have to deal with the rest of the world.

It seems that the mid-east has always been at war over religion, not always, but different sects of the same religion. Just switch religion for the word "Race".

It is 'HUMAN'" thing , we all posess "the blood-lust" those that know they have it will tend to consciously back away from it.

You two are right on both statements!

Another comparison is the WW II nazi officers who would do just about anything to keep wearing their rank on the uniform. I doubt pay for duty meant much to them. All while winning their dear leaders war on freedom that meant job security.

I would say you solved this in your "what if" thoughts as a mature adult American just as millions of American's have thought about it. My late Grandma Em always thought "da bomb" messed with our climate by "pushing" Earth ever so slightly. Voguy's posted video by an intelligent Japanese man of the testing of 2,053 individual bombs, spaced out over the years was to me the same thing happening to Ga'ia as a "tiny" push with some bigger than others! Each similar to a NASA or Russian space craft's guiding "retro rockets" that gently ease their space module one way or the other through the "black sky"!

That's in brief what I'm inquiring about at Linnea's Fantastic Forum. And thanks to "our bad luck" today the newsmen of the world say the old Cold War is heating up once more. The fresh AP News article in post # 1 about the M.E. let's American minds wander toward the "hot side" again!

The one weapon X 2 that ended Japan's will to fight has never been exploded in fast hitting "multiples". Which always equals M.A.D. by really having more pushing power "against" this spinning, floating weightless, so amazing, life giving sphere, (thanks to our yellow Star!) we all call our home on Planet Earth

Thank you for the quick reply Doka. Grandma Em said back in the sixties any single test's blasted radiated air could be harmful for one and mess with our weather as another result. But I'm implying a(n) "A" war no one but evil few may want may en mass push our Earth's orbit out of kilter with many blasts maybe more than the Japanese man could count! So M.A.D comes into mind on a bigger much stranger weightless planet scale.

I suppose every thing is "Theory" until proven or discarded. I understand that there is a growing group of idiots that are rekindling the "Flat Earth" Theory.?

I will stick to my" military weather modification" theory. Because of what I read almost 40 years ago and my very own observations for almost 20 years. My area that I live in is void of commercial flight, We are 200 miles from any major airport in all directions, we have no commercial overflies, I've checked, (using apps available for flight patterns over your area) . Yet, almost every day you can see or hear those big white planes are in the air. On a rare clear day the grids across the sky are awesome. They will vary a bit in direction the trails are laid, but enivitably turn a blue sky to heavy cloud cover . On a cloudy day they come in louder and lower.Our weather patterns here, as well as as over the world have been set on their ear. Dependable "patterns" no longer exist. Weather reports have become un-reliable , sometimes up to 4 days off, if happening at all. The weather has just become another form of "Terrorism". But, you do realize that there is already a generation, that if they look up at all, that's how the Sky has always been to them.I have more, but Find it a waste of my time, until it becomes more published than it is.

The ultimate man made weather modification would be if the planet was shoved just a "little bit" one way being too hot and the other way being too cold! Tie a string tight around a basketball, tape the top, hang it up, wait until it's perfectly still, and then flick it with your pinkie finger. Maybe I should have left out the word "weird". 99 + % of the world's population is not in that category.

Being brief I'm off to work now to truck "crumple zone" steel for uni-bodies on minivans, and SUV's designed to be sacrificed in wrecks to protect the occupants.

Occupants being citizens; that's too bad that's not every country's leader's goal!
