Riddick, Do you ever feel like your talking to an empty room? I'm here and totally agree with you, and there are a lot of others out there that do understand what is going on, if you look for them. Otherwise they stay pretty quiet.

At some point in order to save one's self, you need to look away from the "Infected" and take care of whats on our own plate. Because, those of us that still have the capcity to do so are still maintaining the good qualities that humanity has to offer. The rest are empty vessels of no substance, little robots waiting for their daily programing fix and they get that daily on the MSM. They do Not have a prayer of surviving any thing. They gave up their own ship. Sad , but, by the same token, they cannot lose what they never had. The great truth ,is that those are hell bent for Suicide cannot be stopped, they have embraced there own end. IT is Not your Karma, nor mine, unless we make it so. Can you immagine what their spritual , unseen guides,are going through!? More than likely taking 100 year coffee breaks. I am all for surviving , Well, and going on to better things! If , over the years, that anything I said here, helped open a door for only 1 person, I have helped one human and that's a lot. I really don't have a desire to know , others are really ,not on my "job" application for humanity.

The sheep grazing quietly in the grassy fields of democracy’s prosperity arguing over who deserves more grass, are blithely unaware of the wolves of socialism stalking their periphery and quietly infiltrating the herd.

The founding fathers in their wisdom recognized first and foremost the greatest weapon sheep would ever have against the wolves, the ability to sound the alarm through free speech, and it is here the socialist wolves seek to wound, and weaken the herd for destruction. The very first amendment of the Bill of Rights states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

Socialism under the guise of statism seeks to unlock the meaning of no law, and change it to no law that doesn’t serve the interests of those who would effect law.

The brave people of Venezuela are under violent attack for the very notion of expressing their opposition to statism and socialism. The primitive killer instinct of the government wolves is in full bloom, taking scores of lives, and daily breaking up peaceful assemblies of people in opposition to their domination of individual aspiration.

What are they protesting? The government’s inability to provide the most basic of services, protection against crime and delivery of sanitation, while the government demands control over all facets of life including food. A fight that speaks to the very essence of the foundation of the rights of individuals the New World fought so hard to attain.

Not yet experiencing active opposition to their infiltration here, every day the statist wolves in America are ever circling as the sheep continue unaware, only occasionally protected through alert action by the few shepherds among us.

The people of Venezuela are fighting the fight that the rest of us sheep better wake up to. We are the main course on the statist wolves’ dinner table, and the wolves’ appetite is insatiable.

My Socialist Hell: 20 Years of Decay in Venezuela

CARACAS – Venezuela, my home country, has it all: beautiful and breathtaking landscapes, abundant resources, even unique wonders of nature like the Angel Falls or the Catatumbo Lightning.

Yet if you’ve heard our name in the news recently, it’s as the subject of tragedy: toilet paper shortages, desperate people scavenging through garbage to find food for their families, bread lines, a systemic failure of our public utilities, dogs flayed in broad daylight for meat, corruption, lack of proper medicine and health access, weighing stacks of cash, and so much more.

It saddens me to say that it’s true, all of it, a product of 20 years of socialism.

I was barely eleven years old when Hugo Chávez began his first term in 1999. When this “Bolivarian Revolution” started to change the constitution and morph our laws I was just an introverted child that had just moved to the capital of the country, fascinated by video games, cartoons, and Power Rangers and with an overactive imagination.

This perpetual revolution has laid down a status quo in the country that often forces you to lose your personal aspirations, to cast away your future, hopes, and dreams; it changes you in many ways until you’re no longer a citizen — you’re merely a survivor.

Today, here I stand, more or less that same introverted kid — but with 20 years of ever-increasing hardships upon my shoulders; a lesser version of what I could’ve been, clinging to those memories where everything was simpler and all of it made sense.

This is a personal account of what has my life become after twenty years of Bolivarian Revolution— 20 years that comprise two-thirds of my life.

I’ve done so many bread lines that I’ve lost count, I’ve engaged in bartering of food and medicine, I’m actively taking expired meds because it’s simply better than nothing, and I’ve adapted every aspect of my livelihood around the tribulations inherent to living in Socialist Venezuela while taking care of my younger brother who can’t fend for himself given his mental condition. It hasn’t been easy since we’re two socially inept siblings, but we keep going no matter what.

Socialism has slowly eroded the functional existence of every aspect of our lives, from our freedom of speech to our economic liberties, our access to healthcare and personal documents to our water supply. Each of these structural collapses – the absence of healthcare, the worthlessness of our currency, systemic corruption in the government and military, and widespread censorship – have affected me personally.

My Socialist Hell: The Death of Free Speech in Venezuela

This is the second in a series of articles on life in Venezuela two decades into socialist rule. The series begins here.

CARACAS – Venezuela’s freedom of speech was mutilated long ago. It wasn’t done overnight but, rather, carried out through a series of incremental steps that led us to this point.

When I was young, comedic shows like Radio Rochela existed, in which the politicians were often the center of ridicule and satire. Today, no one would even dare to attempt something like that because the TV channel would be shut down within hours.

The left’s inability to make memes aside, they should be grateful that they have the ability to freely mock, satirize, and ridicule public figures without fear of being thrown in jail. If I were to adapt some of the “jokes” they’ve fielded against U.S. President Donald Trump to apply to Hugo Chávez, Nicolás Maduro, or any other high ranking member of the government, then could very well be facing twenty years in prison due to the new “anti-hate speech” law passed by the regime in late 2017.

There are people in Venezuela right now that have been arrested for the sole crime of posting something on social media. A group of firemen is facing up to twenty years in prison for comparing Maduro to a donkey in a viral video. The First Amendment is one of the things I admire most out of America — it’s a freedom of speech some of us can only dream of.
