Seem to have missed the rationale for why the solar collector needs to be out in space? Not enough sunlight reaching earth?

He said that in 10 or so years, putting it up there would be cheap enough to make it plausible. And yes, there's lots more sunlight up there to use. And no cloudy days, either. Just night every so often.
Any time you get something for nothing, it means that someone, somewhere, got nothing for something.

Dale, you need a cellophane-wrapped keyboard. I've had the same problem with hot dogs. :)

Nah Jeri, far less. After all, we're not launching another Buran*. :D

* The Buran was the Soviet version of the space shuttle.

Well, finished my popcorn and washed my butter-fingers off..

Seems everyone is as sleepy as I am. I think I'll turn in also.

Goodnight.

Good to see everyone. Sorry I was so out of it. It's been a long day.. Catch ya tomorrow for more Art and a less scientific guest, Philip Gardiner.

Yeah, the ol' ORR has been virtually dry docked due to lack of interest. No wonder to it, really, as once the topic of discussion gets away from how bad the show has become, how bad the hosting still is all these years after hoping Clear Channel and Premium Radio would come to their senses and get a host that continues Art's legacy show - there isn't much else to say.

imaginativeworlds.com still tries to hold midnight C2C court on their site as well as ff pirate seanfrommontreal's board - intoinfinity.com. I believe his is most active, or was months ago when I last checked. There are others too, I think.

If someone has an interest in starting a thread here as host or just participant, Fan has it unlocked so anyone may, if they wish. I tried for awhile, as have several mods and pirates, but gauging on participation, there's just no interest. Even tho the show sucks and most of the time hosting has me pulling my hair out, the topics are still rich for discussion - sad to see the ORR not being that forum anymore.
