Dixie-George interview mp3
vigo wrote: Darn it! I missed the whole thing. Sounds like you folks had a great time. I will eagerly await the mp3.
Pirates rule! Go Dixie!
Well, you're in luck vigo. I have almost the whole thing right here:
Dixie B. interviews George N - Low quality mp3 - 12.4 MB
My DSL router/modem has decided it needs to be rebooted every 5 minutes.. Seems to be alright now..and was before the show too. I had this problem awhile back and turned it into my ISP but then it started working alright so I never pursued any further troubleshooting with their tech support. I hate dealing with them...

Hey everybody! I'm home!
Dale, God bless ya, and God love ya. I know I love ya, hope you get some rest and get recalibrated soon- I'm pooped, myself, but wanted to stop in & say "hey" and thanks to all y'all for listening and for the encouraging words. (And Linnea was right, I was totally lobbing softballs - more on all that later!!!)
So sorry about the bad audio on the internet - WCLM is a leeeeetle bitty rinky-dink station, and nobody was there but me and Dr. Rock (who was manning the boards for me, I chickened out at the last minute).
The husband tells me the audio levels were perfect via the radio airwaves, but The Clam (WCLM) has an iffy-at-best computer set up. Dr. Rock recorded it off the board, so hopefully I can get that to y'all soon.
Meantime, THANKS!!! AND PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES FOR NOT CALLING OUT TO ALL Y'ALL!
Man, I really meant to, but time was so short, and I just wasn't quick enough on my feet to spit it out at an opportune moment, but I was thinking of all of you the entire time.
Oh yeah, I was smoking Basic Lights cigarettes , people!! Not supposed to smoke in the studio, but I had to ask myself, WWAD? (What Would Art Do?)

Hey thanks DOS - don't go too far out of your way though, I was just curious. I've read about that interview (in the archives) & honestly can't believe it happened - especially since DB was a very vocal critic.
I'd have to say... good on Noory for doing it, and it sounds like he revealed a lesser known, more like-able side of his personality.
