janus, if potable water is ever a problem for you, please let me make a qualified suggestion:
msr has a product called a miox water purifier. it uses salt and whatever water you can gather, regardless of the quality, and electricity to create some kind of powerful oxidants/chlorine cocktail to purify water. AWESOME PRODUCT! light-weight and you can use it to treat large amounts of water at once.

That's a very long answer...... But 2 put it in a knotshall...... The global hydrological system is not stable...... as we have known it.... and it's going to effect our future survival.

Surge protectors don't always work, especially if you get a direct lightening hit. When I was in Florida I pulled the plug out of the wall when i went to work
during the rainy season. Citrus County where I lived is called the lightening capital of the world.

The Time-Warner guy (when he was trying to solve our phone & computer problems) said whenever there's a power outtage, and then the surge when the power comes back on, all the surge protectors become useless, and all of them need to be replaced. So we did. Haven't had any trouble since.

JC is the devil according to his LT............Art says JC should call instead of his failed followers.......LOL:D
