I have a friend upstate New York who has a beekeeper friend. So far, thank God, she has not seen much loss with her hives.

That's why I work overnights...I'm far more awake then. Mom used to say I truely woke up at 8 PM.
Richard's phone is a little fuzzy.
That's interesting about hives left alone by predators

its a weird mind set to be in right now.......when my wife and i go for our daily walks, we are estatic when we see a bee around the many flowers in our area.....we are actually going "look look, a bee, a bee!"
............happy to see them..........
being someone who is allergic to their venom, and usually heading the other way.......i find myself in a new frame of mind......getting excited, and wanting to pet the little guys.

incidentlly, we nicknamed our new born son (Boris).........."Bee".........and have even done paintings of him now, as a bee!
a sign, of our....personal times.

Hoagland is such a "pro" at being a guest he knows the timeline of the show as well as Art. lol "we don't have time before the bottom of the hour".

Boy it seems Richard has slowed down, haven't heard him in years, I just remember him talking a mile a minute and Art always trying to slow him down.

I have seen plently of bees around here, Linnea if you remember this area is like one big garden, flowering trees and a lot of flowers growing everywhere.
