GN considers himself a showman. this is why he is so hopped up on tv pilots.....this is why he like to read stories (teleplays) on air.....this is why he has goofball things like Morgus on the air.....this is why he wants people like Chris Angel (who does magic tricks) and Patrick Swanky (who did one film about the paranormal film, Ghost) as guests, and not legitimate, experienced specialists on paranormal topics.......and of course, this is why he has so many shows about terrorism. it makes for big drama.
i used to listen to his show with the faint hope that he might present something that might help broaden my mind, and my horizons of knowlegdge and acceptence of other theories that might be "far out". but he clearly wants to put on a "show" every night, even if it means bringing the show into fiction. at least have the good sense to preface the show that you are about to hear a teleplay, and it should not be taken seriously, then have the good sense to not blur that fiction with reality, and take credit for other people's tragedies.....then taking credit for sparing us all the same tragedies.
i almost vomit in my mouth last night when he "let us all in on his big secret......" that he is "obsessed" with the other side, and that he has "died" before. he would have done better had he had a theromin playing in the background while revealing this mysterious revolation. it was bad theater, and as somebody who shells out dough to the website as a subscriber, im standing up to it and asking for a refund, in the way of canceling. no art, no dough. i have tried and tried to listen to this show (the GN version), and it is unbearable......last night was the last straw. he owes everybody that "bought a ticket" their money back.
he needs to start wearing a top hat (or bejeweled turbin, swami style) and cape to work......at least this would be visually professing what is in his heart.
