Hope everyone is well. I agree Shirley, it's great to see Art posting so often lately. I do look forward to hearing what he obviously wants to say to us, but probably cant yet, and man, I can't wait for the first of those 15 shows!

Yes, Art is always "Mysterious and Reassuring" and of course "nothing is ever as it seems"

Night Shirley, WABC in NYC doesn't carry the show on Fridays, so I am having to sneak AM 800 out of Canada in on my new CCRadio-SW :)

How does the radio work. Does it get clear reception on stations you could not get very good before?

That is the station I listen to Art on, it is in Windsor, Ont. about 35 miles from where I live. What is kewl is you will notice you will never hear a Coast commercial, they cut to local. CLKW 800AM is a monster station screaming across the N.E. and most of the South.

Hey Tiff,

Yeah, the radio works great. My favorite radio has always been my GE Superadio III (I collect radios), and also have a bunch of tube radios. The CCRadio-SW (Not the CCRadioplus) does pull in better than all of my radios, including the Superadio. The tuning options are great, you get shortwave, and AM RF Gain (meaning you can adjust the strength of the signal to drown out powerful stations that are overpowering stations near them. Sound quality is good (although not as good as the Superadio). In my opinion this radio is stronger than the CCRadioplus based on it's Antenna, and also the RF Gain.

If you're just looking for a really strong radio, I would recommend saving your money and getting a Superadio III first and seeing how you like it. It's got an analog dial (which I think is fun anyway) and that dial is often WILDLY inaccurate, but you get a feel for it pretty quick. If on the otherhand you want to spend on a simply great radio, then this is the set for you :)

There is so much interference, and so many monster stations in NYC that it can be tough sometimes to pick up the distant stations unfortunately.

I hate it when noory does that.
Every time LMH is on, he goes all goofy with the love songs as bumpers. Really puts me off my beans.
She I can listen to, but not with the gooey tunes.
Dammit George, if you want to woo the girl, do it on your own time.
Bleh

I have a feeling that he doesn't want to hear anymore about the "experiment", can't say I blame him. I don't think that went according to plan.
