Hey now Dale, not to keep you but I was thinking you might be able to help me out here:
As I'm writing a FAQ for the new ORR thread starting Saturday, in it as something folks might copy & paste to 'mark' a post as the start of a night's chat I'd like to include a code snippet so it appears in 'raw' forum, rather than like this -
I figure Fan would know... If he don't & you don't, I don't know who would!

If I'm getting you right, you want to show how to post that banner as a first post marker but don't know how to do that without it appearing as a banner but as the bbcode we use in posts...Riddick wrote:

Either break the tags and explain what you did, or better, take a screenshot and post the image of the code.

Posting an image was what I already planned to do not knowing otherwise how to do it... knowing otherwise, Fan may well come up with something even more elegant and straightforward.
Anahoo, thanks for the sage advice Dale

Yah, I'd tend to think that's something that's totally out of humanity's hands.
I basically feel the same way about climate change... so much as I look at mankind's contribution, simply compared to any naturally occurring influences on either global warming or cooling as having much the same effect as the removal or addition of a single grain of sand would have any major bearing on the size of the Sahara Desert -!

Besides a single grain of sand, from my perspective I don't see it being any different than hauling in or out a handful, a single truckload or even a fleet of every dumptruck on the planet.Riddick wrote: Yah, I'd tend to think that's something that's totally out of humanity's hands.

IMHO, if anything climate concerns are misdirected, as change has been ongoing since before man walked the earth, and as such it will keep on long after humanity is extinct. If mankind survives, it will be by adapting to any new environment, not by any futile efforts at stopping Mother Nature from doing what she wants to when she wants to do it.
In any case before climate change has a chance to do us all in, I see it as far more likely we'll have already committed collective hari-kari... you don't know heat 'til you've had a rain of H-Bombs fall here, there and everywhere knowhutImean?
