Some good news!
Ok the good news is (Drum Roll) Renata and I are immigrating to Canada, straight up this is no joke. We have discussed it for over three years now and have started the paper work, we expect to be there in 6 to 8 months. BC is where we have our hearts set on but will start in Vancouver and take it from there. As Renata is an intensive care nurse we both will be fast tracked, as they are looking more for people with Renatas skills.
Will I be sorry to leave England behind? Well the way I feel right now NO! infact i feel over the moon, we went out last night and got totally wasted;)

Thanks Linnea, Corvid, racehorse, Cpt Spike Mike, Cherry Kelly for the warm wishes we’re so excited.
Ok first question I need to find media TV related contacts, agents, url's that possibly deal with overseas (British) technicians, production staff, lighting, sound, picture editors ect. Any help in this direction would be much appreciated.
Maybe Fred_Vobbe may know some contacts?

Nice area, from what I remember, AlienUK(CA)...Vancouver, Victoria Island, Seattle, Puyallup, Everett...very clean and very friendly people;) Lots to do.
I guess the lack of sun in Seattle would be a drawback after a bit but after a bit I think I could live with it. Everything is green, deep dark green, with life!
Congrats, and like Fred said, wave to us here in the Midwest as you pass!

Hey, Alien - if you are used to London, you are used to misty fog. Does it snow much in London? I think the winters near Vancouver (Burnaby is nearby) - are much milder, as you are on the pacific coast. Although winter can be overcast, you will not have too much ice or snow. Vancouver is about 2 1/2 - 3 hr drive north of Seattle, up the coast.
here's a couple links:

British Columbia is magnificent!
Victoria's Inner Harbor has a distinctive British ambience, and is a short ferry ride away from Vancouver...

You will have much to explore...
