Great pictures, thanks! I remember my brother, his wife and I sitting below the London Eye drinking beer our last night in London and chatting about all the great places we had been and seen during our holiday there. The history of everything was overwhelming to us Canucks. Unfortunately, there is little respect for heritage in the west. We tear everything down to make way for the new so little has a chance to get old.

I bought a house last June and it is the oldest house in our town. It used to be a teacherage and is around 60 years old. Been renovated a few times over but cannot be declared a heritage house because the village honchos changed some things on the outside. Our town is only 80 years old! I fell madly in love with it and I think thats because I grew up surrounded by history and old, old stuff. It has wonderful Karma.

There have been many debates over tearing old buildings down in Vancouver and people fight and lobby to keep them standing, they seldom win. Gotta make way for big business i.e. K Mart and the like. Perhaps one day we will gain respect for history.
