As one caller expressed last night - I live for Art Bell Weekends (almost).

But Art has invested nearly his entirer life to us, his fans. Now he wants to devote the majority of his time to his family - as it should be.

Thank you Art for caring enough for us by keeping Sat. night as your own (mostly).

My best to you and your family.
Marci.

The really sad sad part of this is the nasty business of Snoory intruding into my weekend.

This sucks.

Noticed Art said he was "penned in" for a while. So maybe he just renegotiated a new contract ? Wasn't his last contract due to expire sometime in 2005?

Art's blood type is RF'
Radio waves run thru Art's body.
And he is meant to be heard.

He and Ramona own their own station.
Ramona has a wonderful voice herself and is very savvy.

I expect we as listeners of Art Bell will have to find them both on KNYE' as time goes on.
I will support whatever decision Art and Ramona make.

I want their happiness above all.

When ever he is on the air', that will be a good thing.
Something is always better than nothing.

In the case that more is better'.
More Art is always best.

Let's do our our remote reviewing.
Let's do our own collective conscious intervention to change the world events that might bring us down.

We have been taught well by the Master'...

There is much to do, and still much to be learned.

I am grateful for Art's company.

Just remember "nothing is ever what it seems". It should be interesting to see what other things Art well be freed up to do.
I don't like that Art will only be on twice a month, it was a gift when Art came back to do weekends and save his beloved Coast.
Wonder how many affiliates well drop off the face of the earth in the next six months. I like Hilly and Ian but don't know if that will be enough to keep them.

This whole thing is just Art Bell playing some more of the mind games that he has played with his audience for the past seven years. He is going to retire and then unretire until the end of time. Given the fact that his interviewing performance has not been up to par for the past year or so (and during the 1990s he was one of the very best radio interviewers in America), I do not see his departure as any great catastrophe. But don't worry. The departure is not going to be permanent. It won't even be for long.

If he is ready to go, there will be some feelings, but he can walk away from it. He's got a lot of things going on in his life which don't involve his extended radio audience. I suspect that he is just ready for a change.

The death of his cat, changes in the industry, and feeling the years come on perhaps has him thinking that there is more to life than committing to a microphone at night.

Don't forget, there is more than just the four hours to doing the show. I would not be surprised to find out that he spends at least 6-8 hours on each show with prep added.

George doesn't prep 6-8 hours for an interview. Maybe sleeps 6-8 hours before an interview......I guess that's prep-ing.

I miss Art and the OLD Coast to Coast. I wish him well.

Art made a reference to A Zen Saying - That - Less is More

I Agree - However...

I would have preferred The Less is More to be The Following:

Less George Noory and More Art Bell...

With Ramona even taking A Shot at Hosting Coast AM and Art Totally Controlling Coast AM as Executive Producer - Etc

To Me - That Less is More Concept - Totally Rocks to the Max
