Absolutely!

Perhaps we should email Art? He did have a tendency to post here to fill us in on how goings on. Perhaps after his announcement he might pop by? That would certainly drive some interest :)

Not me, I can't afford to pay for the service plus the radio so that lets me out. :( :( :(

Same here LeslieV. I don't feel good about spending money on anything at the moment. Guess we will just have to drive everybody crazy, for a "run-down" on "What Art Said". :)

that is the worst news I think I could have possibly imagined. I'll do the trial to check it out, but... this is not promising as far as it sticking around long I fear.

Wow... yeah... that's depressing.
I'm gonna go for the streaming trial, but, I don't know if I'll hang on to it after the trial is up. $14.99/mo. - bright side is, don't need the radio for streaming. But... still.

Luckily we are pirates so we know people who know people, but... this does not support Art's new show, and without that support, it is ultimately doomed.

Art - offer the shows up individually as podcasts for $2-3 each, as well as broadcasting them. Then everyone is happy, you make more money, you get the support you need, give a cut to Sirius, they are happy. No lose situation (unless you signed something you shouldn't have...).

I'm sure Art had a team of lawyers look things over but still, corporate is corporate and they always do as the house in Vegas does, deal in their favor.

I may try the free ride but at $15/mo it is more than the budget can take.

See, corporate made sure I and many others were thrown out after decades of work with nothing at retirement age, they kept it all so the top could get good bonus money.

That lets me with a SS check, that just went down about $25, and part time work.

After all is paid, there is not much left to save or spend on this.

Sorry Art, but I can't support you. At least when on local stations I could hear the local stations commercials and buy local when I needed something.

Ah yes, I should have assumed as much:
Our satellite service is available only to those at least 18 and older in the 48 contiguous USA and DC.
So, as a Canuckian I cannot subscribe even if I wanted to (and in fact I was toying with the idea). Not cool.

Had Art made his return to terrestrial radio, my "Thrill-o-Meter" would've been at no less than an 8 out of 10 -

Since it's on satellite, that drops it by a full 5 points. At least. Needless to say, I feel something of a let-down after the build-up.

It's certainly nice to know he's back with a new show... still, it'd be nicer to be able to listen to it on regular radio.

It doesn't make much difference to me. What's good on terrestrial radio? Nothing.
