Perhaps Art Will Broadcast Again
I noticed also tonight Art appeared to take screened calls. I can't blame him he is in his early 60s and has a wonderful family. I know I would retire from my Job if I had the funding.
I sure hope we still see him guest host.
I wonder if Art just gave his notice to all on the air ???
I wish Art and family all the best !
Be interesting to hear what George comments on Monday.
All the best, Phil

Hi Phil
Art was taking unscreened calls for open lines, and screened calls for the guest.. Thats the format he's been using since he went back to unscreened open lines last year. I think his idea was to not waste the guests time since many of the callers were now George's and they did not know about Art's unscreened format. Sad but true.

Amen , i guess i will cherish the times Art comes back to do a special show . listening to Art for around 15 years , i still want to hear him broadcast anytime he comes back for a show .Shirleypal wrote: You bet, in a New York second and so would most of us here even though they may say they wouldn't.
If he came back, I'd listen. He's safely in my top five interviewers of all time (TV and radio), the man has natural skills that rarely we come across.
But, for this reason I hope he never comes back. NO notice whatsoever? I don't give a flying f'''' what is going on behind the scenes....if ppl are claiming he is as professional as he makes out he wouldn't just dump millions of ppl at the drop of a hat. 1 week in advance would have sufficed. He's messed us all about far too many times like this. And to the ppl going on about how old he is...gimme a break; 60 is the new 40...Art will see 100 easy (hopefully).
Anyway, I still wish him and his family all the best but I hope he never returns. I think Mr J Wells will be excellent given 6 months.
(and if I hear Snoory say "hmm, I love it" (code for "I wasn't listening") one more time....I'm off for good.

Snoory doesn't listen because he's reading the questions off of a list. A list prepared by interns. In their defense, interns working for free (college credit). So cut the interns a break will ya.
Art may have not quit. He may have been forced out. Art's boss Kraig Kitchen was unceremoniously fired coincidently at the same time Art "retired". Then George all of a sudden gets a guest spot on Larry King out of the blue. To coincide with a nice little package of free gifts and prizes at the C2C webby courtesy of Prem Rad.
You do the math.

Kraig Kitchen may be stepping down, but he's staying with PremRad until the end of the year.

There is some rumbling (my friend in LV is in the radio field) that Kitchin was pushed out due to a little "playing with the ratings" by Premiere Networks. Premiere just signed on to Arbitron's new automated ratings programs (previously a pencil and paper system) which will be in effect for July's ratings. So we may finally learn just exactly where C2C really is in the ratings game. Just a rumor at this point.
