Somewhere in Time returns to July 21, 1999, when Dr. Drew Ross (book link) discussed serial killers. UFO lobbyist Stephen Bassett appears in the first hour.

1st hour.... Steven Bassett, a UFO lobbyist, joins Art in the first hour for an announcement. Steven says on the 13th of this month filings were done and the first political action committee in history was formed that will directly go after the politics of the UFO/ET phenomenom and government coverup of same.
2nd hour.... Dr. Drew Ross, a forensic psychiatrist, joins Art to discuss, among other things, serial killers. Art begins by asking Drew how he got into this field, what is it like to be face to face with a murderer and has he ever found any of them to be remorseful. Later in the hour, Art asks Drew about his idea of isolating serial killers but not in the traditional jail sense.
3rd hour.... Art and Dr. Ross discuss the death penalty. Art asks Dr. Ross about current day movies and how they used to be blamed for todays violence but that trend seems to be waning. Phone calls are taken later in the hour with mind altering drugs used on killers being discussed.
4th hour.... Art and Dr. Ross talk about sociopaths before more phone calls are taken. The first caller's mother was killed by a serial killer and he expresses his feelings on the death penalty. Art asks Dr. Ross about defendants that are rich and how they are favored in the justice system.
5th hour.... Art asks Dr. Ross if hate crimes (murders) are different than most and what kind of treatment is warranted, should it be a different kind and why. Art asks Dr. Ross if there has ever been a time when he could recommend a killer be returned to society and for what reason. Phone calls finish out tonight's program.

Somewhere in Time returns to 8/8/99 when Linda Moulton Howe joined the show to discuss a bizarre crop circle found in Canada. Art also welcomed Betty Eadie who talked about the time she died on a hospital table and saw the light of God.

Award.... Art did not win the "Sexiest Voice in America" award. He placed second.
Emergency.... Art tells us there is a family emergency going on in his family right now and may have to leave the program early.
Moscow.... An explosion in Moscow destroyed an apartment building.
Howe.... Linda Moulton Howe joins Art to discuss a crop circle found in Canada. A diagram is available on the front page. The farmer who owns the crop describes the scene.
2nd hour.... Betty Eadie joins Art this hour to discuss her books and her Near Death Experience. She begins by describing how she died. Betty describes heaven and hell.
3rd hour.... There is a beach mystery happening in Maine that Art tells us about.
Betty continues with Art and they discuss how scientists feel NDE's has to do with a chemical in the brain. Betty talks about cell memory. Art asks Betty what the current state of the 'collective' is. Betty tells us that she did not want to come back to Earth and she told this to Jesus as she knelt before him. She describes how she did come back and entering her body. Betty talks about how she would not mind dying because she wants to go back there , but her family doesn't like her talking like that.
4th hour.... Phone calls are taken this hour. Art tells Betty about "Sarah's" NDE that has been discussed on Coast to Coast many times. A caller ask Betty about the scripture in the Bible about the dead knowing nothing about the living.
5th hour.... In response to a fax from a listener, Betty tells us of the demons that surrounded her hospital bed after she reentered her body and what it meant. Phone calls for Betty continues throughout the remainder of the program.

I'd start a thread in the new ORR subdeck, but I dunno if I'll be listening too much longer myself.
Whitley & Art had just been talking about global warming and weather control.
Pretty interesting. Whit mentioned stuff that can be dumped on a T-storm to stop it dead. OTOH, both of them agreed mucking around with Mother Nature can have unintended (and unwanted) consequences.
What's funny to me is how that contradicts with what they had just been discussing, how since global warming is 'real' the world better damn get on the same page in a hurry and 'do something' about it.
So in one case we 'know' and should 'act', but otherwise not 'cause we really don't know what we're doing?
I tend to agree with George Carlin's take that 'saving the planet' is just mankind's arrogance writ large...
