I don't own any fire extinguishers at home but at the office we have them serviced annually - isn't that pretty much standard?

Offices and factories usually have a schedule, but I know of nobody that has a plan to check fire extinguishers. Heck, just getting the public to change the battery in the smoke detectors twice a year, or just once, is a chore.
