Midnight In The Desert Mania

Post by Riddick » 05-28-2015 03:37 PM

ATTENTION all you Bell-a-maniacs, this is some really WILD WILD stuff, brother! Would you believe more and more everybody AND their brother wants in on Art Bell's new online digital streaming act?

Requests to carry the show are rolling in from all quarters of the OTA analog radio world. Just at the moment the show will be carried on WTWW 5.085 SW, WBCQ 7.490 and 9.330 SW, WXME AM 730 in Monticello MN and KNYE FM in Pahrump NV. And there are others interested as well. As per Art:
  • Yes, this seems to be a unintended result, we are getting requests now for commercial stations that want to carry the show, as mentioned there is no reason to say no. We will have at least (2) fixed breaks at the bottom and top of the Hour. We will carry a max of 6 minutes of spots per hour, so while not trying to discourage any station, they will have to take the three hours as is.
    ...
Jeez, I guess this means I still might have to say please turn down your Radio!
It's not even the middle of July yet! Yet things are heating up already ahead of the show's premiere. Talk about CATCHING FIRE, it's almost an Obsession!! (Mebbe Art'll include it in his bumper tune list)

So how about it folks: Whachoo gonna do when Art Bell's Midnight In The Desert runs wild on YOU!?

yeaah brotha! I am going to show these radios what a real broadcaster is like! Are you ready for the fight of the century? Art Bell vs. George Noory in the squared circle brotha!

I am in hopes that Art can get going and stay for at least a couple years.....But not having any parties until I hear him for real again. As far as noory, I still can't believe he snatched the "Golden Goose" and turned into "Duck Poop Soup".

I think Art sold KNYE?

Yes Art sold KNYE.

I am waiting to see how this turns out. I signed up for Sirius for his last go round and frankly don’t mind as we listen to Sinatra when we are in the desert.

We listen to John B most nights and when his show is over we switch over to C2C.

I'm with you on John B.

I believe the show with Linda Moulton Howe last week was the best she has ever done.

You are correct - I really like John’s interviewing style. He lets them talk and talk and talk and then no commercials, helps with the continuity of the conversation.

What did you think of the show regarding the DC Madam book and the blackmail theory?

I concur wholeheartedly.

The three stations in NY

...Amsterdam – WCSS 1490 AM

Johnstown – WIZR 930 AM / 102.9 FM

St. Johnsville – WKAJ – 1120 AM

Are all pretty much in the same town.

Cool none the less. Hey if you got some podunk station and you can get this for three hours...why not?

List Of Stations Joining The MIDNIGHT EXPRESS Keeps On Growing

Intended to be online only, Art Bell's upcoming program has already evolved into a syndicated show beyond the host's expectations - and before its debut on 7/20, the list of radio affiliates may expand considerably beyond its present proportions.

The other evening, George Noory briefly appeared on the Bellgab.com podcast GABCAST. Noory, who faced probing questions from the hosts, remarked that he built Coast to Coast AM up from 400+ affiliates to over 600.

That may be true – though some allege Noory comes with a package deal that Premiere offers to often struggling AM radio stations. But in 2015, the playing field has changed.

Once a show without night time competition, Coast to Coast now faces a prickly summer: A new contender is coming to the paranormal radio market. His name is Art Bell.
