Passion flowers

Passion flowers……if you don’t mow they grow. These wildflowers grow any place that gets full sun. Fragrant, beautiful and make a wonderful tea.

passion flowers

Post by SAR01 » 09-04-2008 10:37 PM

I have been trying to grow them here in Ohio... I have 4 plants and had 3 flowers, I love them. I hope they decide to grow here, I have so many other herbs growing.

I would like to know how you make a tea... use the leaves,? or the flowers?
thanks.

Hi SARO1
I use the flower. Steep in boiling water for ten to fifteen minutes. I like to add peppermint to mine. It’s very relaxing.
Your vines should produce seed pods that look similar to limes. Break these open and plant the seeds. I’m sure you’ll have more passion flowers than you can use.
Good luck and happy gardening !!

thanks, badspell I will try that!

Shirleypal.. I have been busy. Summer is always busy, but the last 2 have been hard. last year, we lost Dan's horse, and it was devastating.... this year we have been nursing my horse through 8 months of every other day was, do we put him down.. he is making a comeback.... but I have been emotionally spent.

yesturday I drove 6 hrs round trip, and was there to see my Grand daughter born into the world. so I always enjoy the good with the hard knocks!

I do try to pop in but do not always have time to post.

I also started beading, and taught myself to crochet.

so I am around just very busy.. but I will say, for now..... the visitors have left me alone.

is there a way I can private mail you? there is something that happened I would like to share with you, but I don;t know how comfortable I;d be posting it.

I've long lost your email.
