Those are difficult to maintain. The need a very un-nutritious bed, and lots of water. If the soil is too rich, the pitchers (or flytraps) seem to turn black when they catch an insect.

I think the Dutchmen's Pipe is related to the Carnivorous plant varietal - I have tried to grow but no luck.
