Fab pictures- love the Pitcher plant - i find those Carnivorous plants so fascinating as well. The close up is so magnificient and love the simplicity of those three leaves on the stoop.

Those are difficult to maintain. The need a very un-nutritious bed, and lots of water. If the soil is too rich, the pitchers (or flytraps) seem to turn black when they catch an insect.

I think the Dutchmen's Pipe is related to the Carnivorous plant varietal - I have tried to grow but no luck.

I see they don't mind chilly weather, and from the comments at the bottom, it seems almost invasive...

I bet they are - but you know I have heirloom Nicotiana and one could say they are invasive the way they reseed all over the garden.

I would love to try growing this again.
