Las Vegas, Nevada's weird news!

Wouldn't you know it! It was the semi driver's fault!

I personally think the future of autonomous vehicles will have GREAT limitations. :P What are your thoughts?

If you sent your self driving car out to Walmart what could it bring home?

The guys on Red Eye Radio were talking about autonomous vehicles last night - I didn't catch much, but what they said got me thinking.

In their view, we will start seeing some new rules concerning driving, such as by a certain date, private ownership of all transportation will be outlawed. To get there, incremental rules will be out into place, such as the HVOC lanes already common in the Boston area and other larger cities. Under current rules, if you are driving solo, you're in with the masses, drive with two, three or four passengers (or more) you can use the HVOC lanes which have far les traffic, and you whip right on through.

The Red Eye guys envision increasingly more restrictions being placed on society to get people to accept the culture change. For me, my wife and I love to just go out for rides, wherever the road will take us, so if this comes-about, we'll miss that. But, I thin we're still a-ways off........

Too much technology and infrastructure to improve on and install, and too many bugs to work out.

Hey kobot! I catch Red Eye Radio as often as possible on Chicago's iconic radio station WLS 890 AM at night, while haulin' Highlander steel on The Dixie Bee Line, US Hwy 41. Ross Mitchell found a new job there as the "break man" formerly for many years with Art Bell at C2CAM.

What I can't wait to see is an autonomous snow plow!

Way into the distant future I don't see any future for those driver-less vehicles. If their out there en mass I won't be out there with 'em! Man O man! I sure wish FF had that smilie waving his BS flag. :P

Talk about huge corporations with too much money on their hands! Technology experimentation "JUST LIKE THAT" leaves the Middle Class ringing their hands wondering, "What if?" :(

I don't work for Toyota but their tech geeks once built a robot, with lips, that could play a trumpet!
