In the first half, Dr. Joel Wallach addressed alternative health approaches and the benefits of remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from many diseases and ailments. Regarding Types 1, 2 and TYPE 3 (is Alzheimers!) diabetes, he suggested a combination of supplements, including his "Sweet Eze" formulation which contains the minerals chromium and vanadium, along with supportive herbs to nutritionally assist in the regulation of blood sugar levels. Many skin ailments like psoriasis are related to gluten consumption, he stated, which damages the ability of the body to absorb nutrients.

IF THE NUTRIENT "LITHIUM" was put into the water supply at the treatment level, we could eliminate the problem of mass murders in America, as he believes a lot of mental illness is due to a deficiency of this mineral. Regarding Alzheimer's, Wallach contends this condition is due to a lack of cholesterol, and he recommended eating three-to-four eggs a day. For cancer prevention, he advised taking supplements that support the immune system-- the mineral selenium, for instance, has been found in studies to reduce the risk of specific cancers by significant percentages.
