What To Do, Not To Do About America's Unhappiness Epidemic?

Seems Most Unhappy People Are Unhappy For The Exact Same Reason

Changes in how American teens use their free time may partially explain a sudden drop in their happiness after 2012 (the year when a majority of Americans owned smartphones) and perhaps the decline in adults’ happiness since 2000 as well.

Much of what determines happiness is beyond our control yet we do have some control over using our leisure time. It might be unhappy people seek out screen activities but a growing number of studies suggest most of the causation goes from screen use to unhappiness, not vice versa.

Insofar we’d all like to be a little happier, the advice would be: Put down your phone or tablet and go do something – just about anything – else. FULL STORY

The article was good, but it just didn't really go far enough........ANYTHING, that "entangles" us from the" Outside" and we attach our happiness to makes us slaves to our own Emotions! We go up and down and all around and beat ourselves into our own hopelessness ! Of course, in order for this NOT to happen, you have to have a strong sense of self, without blaming or hurting others, (that includes your self, duh!). A lot of humans are perfectly "Happy" to let someone else "Steer " their ship........Because basically, they are empty "Vessels".............
