POLICE ARREST WINTER`

Post by Riddick » 04-09-2018 02:49 PM

A New York police department “arrested” winter Friday for sticking around for so long.

The Depew Police Department sent out a Facebook post notifying winter that it had been placed under arrest, reports the Associated Press.

The police department said winter had the “right to remain silent” and that if winter cooperated with the, the department would “look past” winter’s “past transgressions.”

“Any further snow you produce will be held against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, but only if you turn in the groundhog that predicted six more weeks of winter,” the department wrote in a Facebook post. “If you are willing to work with us, we are willing to look past your most recent transgressions over the course of this past week. The choice is yours.”

New York has experienced a long winter this year, with upstate New York seeing snow last week.

Me personally? Maybe, maybe not. With no way out any ground floor doors, if the snow's piled high enough I might make an exit through a second floor window... But hey, if it is or isn't totally blocked either way that's another story.

Excellent article. The Storms in my area are strong and violent of short duration and consistently coming from the South to North ,it's been on average one every 3 to 4 days. With wind gusts up to 50 to 60 mph. The weather pattern here over , say, 50 years, that, I have noticed, is our weather of past , has come from the West.

Climate Engineering Insanity, Manufacturing Winter Weather With Tropical Moisture

Planet Earth is being forced into an abrupt climate shift, the ongoing global climate engineering operations are further fueling the overall process. The combination satellite / radar image below reveals an extremely anomalous and alarming scenario: a massive, bizarre, and completely unnatural, straight, south to north flow of tropical moisture from the record warm waters of the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, Back In Wisconsin...

Post by Riddick » 04-17-2018 11:35 PM

Here we go again... Winter weather advisory for SE Wisconsin from 10 a.m. Wednesday – 4 a.m. Thursday

According to the FOX6 Weather Experts, a light mix is possible beginning Wednesday morning, but the bulk of the precipitation will fall as snow during the afternoon and evening. Two to four inches is possible across the area. The snow will end late Wednesday night. Bottom line, don’t focus on totals. It will be a mess area-wide Wednesday afternoon/evening with heavy snow from time-to-time.

And Now, An Up To The Minute On The Scene Report

Post by Riddick » 04-19-2018 01:01 AM

OK so the snow has stopped, I'd say total we got 6 inches on top of the 6 we got over the weekend. Even before the height of the storm came through I saw two cars in the ditch. Hopefully no more of that for awhile! Forecast high tomorrow of 44, then into the mid 50's by Sunday, with 'normal' highs in the low 60's by the end of the week. Though who's to say what normal means any more, eh?

In any case, I'd like to say GOODBYE TO WINTER - And don't hurry back!!

It's Been The Coldest April Since 1975, But Milwaukee Weather May Have Turned A Corner To Spring

Post by Riddick » 04-22-2018 04:33 PM

Highs so far this month have stubbornly hovered in the 30s and 40s. It's been a snowy month, too. Typically, Milwaukee gets just 1.8 inches of snow in the first 21 days of April. So far this month, we got 10 inches. That's more snow than in both December and March.

"That's definitely an unusual start to spring," said Sarah Marquardt, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sullivan.

Finally, on Saturday, highs were right around average. The average high this time of year is 56 degrees.

"We've put our time in this April," Marquardt said. "I'm hoping it turns around." FULL STORY

We're Havin' A Heat Wave

Post by Riddick » 05-24-2018 12:22 PM

So for the period this coming 3 day holiday weekend, peak temperature hereabouts sun-to-sun is 'typically' 72 degrees. Not too cool, not too hot, mostly sunny days with low humidity? Nigh on perfect IMHO

Weather wise it would be wonderful, if indeed that was what we have to look forward to, but NOOOoooo! Current forecasts have us reaching near NINE-ZERO degrees ALL THREE days. Spring is here, yet we get summer swelter. Go figure.

Not to say the flip side of it would be better. I'd be no more thrilled by FIFTIES for highs, overcast skies, with on and off day and night rain - Neither extreme is totally atypical for this time of year -

This is the reality today -

I drove by a bank just a while ago and I saw their time/temp display had it at 100 degrees!

I don't remember the last time it was this hot for the Memorial Day weekend

Maybe it's a record??

Very humid here too

You've heard the line 'It's not the heat, it's the humidity'

With what we have, it's the heat AND the humidity
