The real problem is this one: regardless of what percentage of the earth's resources are already gone, people are acting AS IF two-thirds (or more) of the earth's resources are gone. It's every man for himself before the Great Dying stops the music and everybody begins to dash for the vacant chairs...
I have said it before and I say it again: when large numbers of people start to ask, "How do I survive?", the real question is "Why bother?"
