Oklahoma experienced the largest on record earthquake.
Our neighbors to the west in Oklahoma experienced the largest on record earthquake.
Apparently birds over react to earthquakes here in the Ozarks. He not only yelled at night but came off his perch 3 times.
I was in the lower level of the house and thought it was the washing machine out of balance.
That type of thing never happens here.
I told Jeannie coast will be on soon and they will give us the facts…….well its the weekend and MR. Ian Punnett as always was to into himself and his twitter or facebook life to cover a small event like the largest on record earthquake in Oklahoma . A caller did bring it to his attention.
Anyone else get a shake?

Maybe we could learn to instigate and then harvest "QuakePower" !

well, no one who does fracking would say it is their fault, but this is a new process and certainly causes geological instability...

The war comes home.It was a gathering of professionals to discuss “media and stakeholder relations” in the hydraulic fracturing industry — companies using the often-controversial oil and gas extraction technique known as “fracking.”
[...]
In a session entitled “Designing a Media Relations Strategy To Overcome Concerns Surrounding Hydraulic Fracturing,” Range Resources communications director Matt Pitzarella spoke about “overcoming stakeholder concerns” about the fracking process.
“We have several former psy ops folks that work for us at Range because they’re very comfortable in dealing with localized issues and local governments,” Pitzarella said. “Really all they do is spend most of their time helping folks develop local ordinances and things like that. But very much having that understanding of psy ops in the Army and in the Middle East has applied very helpfully here for us in Pennsylvania.” - source
We utterly failed to contain it 'over there'. 'The Homeland' will now experience combat scenarios that we never imagined - as corporations (among others) utilize combat tactics & combat vets against things like the environment.
To these folks, earthquakes, and the destruction they reap are 'collateral damage'. No big deal. After all, you support the 'troops', right - and you support the 'job creators'... don't you?

For if it profit, none dare call it Treason.
They have started doing this (fracking) in Montana and N.Dakota recently. If fracking causes EQs, we should see them happening there, too. And, whaddayouknow; there have been a couple of small EQs in Montana lately. I'm thinking we're gonna have undeniable evidence of the connection within a few months (to a year) (OK and ARK have been quaking quite a bit for over a year, but no one's said much because they were mostly around 3 and not popularly noticeable).
Keep your eyes on this one.

Any time you get something for nothing, it means that someone, somewhere, got nothing for something.

Keep and eye out on western North Dakota, as that's where the oil fields are at where they are really going crazy with drilling.
