OK - snow amounts varied from an average of 10" 12" (where I live) and 14" a bit on the west side.

AND NOW -- just a few days later - a SECOND one coming in - after about 3pm--light stuff followed by ohhhh yaaaa more than on 21st AND heavier and wetter, but at least MOST people should be home by then... well except night workers and the complete white out blizzard with up to 35mph winds.

They are telling people stay home! Most places will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 26th) and possibly into Wed. It all depends on how fast this system moves.

Meanwhile - TX panhandle area shut down - even plows are off the road. AND parts of OK and KS already same thing.

What an interesting (said kinda laughing) end to winter...

Stay safe any and all in the path of this one!

Snow had closed the KS and MO (Kansas City) roads, services and USPS actually is NOT going!
KC Airport closed which is causing problems across the US.

8-12 inches of snow with blowing winds early in the morning - but some clearing showing up - cept for winds...
Then the second batch will hit.

WARNING states east and north -- its headed your way...and will dump a lot of snow.

KBOT -- they are saying this will heat northeast area FRI/SAT or and SUN...

Yeah, we heard this as well. Getting kinda tired. Kinda, old.....Want to go to the beach, sit under the umbrella with my wife, have a picnic (cold lobster salad) listen to the radio and read some....... Then head up to the mountains for some hiking. This sucks!!!!!

I'm going to try and attach a Youtube clip showing a snowplow operator from Lowell, Mass, which is a city northwest of Boston, near the Mass/ NH line. We'd thought that snowplow operators acted like this, but,. this just proves we were right all along......

edited to fix video link. You almost had it kbot. When you pasted the link in, it landed along side the http:// and not on it, over-writing it. I deleted the extra portion and you're good. -D

ENCORE another big snowstorm... not sure how many inches overnight - but this time - extremely wet with strong winds.

Power outages - all over the place and they say snowplows are even stuck in some places. Another 1-2 inches due over the day. Will inform more later in day or tomorrow.

Nice CK. I share your pain.........

I'd read an article yesterday that these storms may be due to the shrinking polar ice, putting more moisture into the air

Snow depending on location - 9-10-inches - extremely wet and heavy. At one time over 70K without power - tree's fell on power-lines.

overnight another inch of snow.
side-streets - still being plowed - some at least have single lane
10K people still without power (IN town), others in some of the country areas still out, and few flakes still falling.
highways are open, some of on/off ramps still bit of a problem, but being worked on...Crews are out.
no school for kids....

BUT we might get some sunshine this afternoon!!

we are supposed to get 25-30cms (~10-11 inches) of snow today, already had more than that this week. The snow is above both my back and front decks, basically up to the windows. I can't possibly open one of my doors.

I love it :)

Finally got some sunshine today... and yes a few flakes of snow on Fri - but nothing to amount to ehh.

The heavy snow on top of the lighter snow from the first storm is doing strange things -- under the bottom - slush!! On top crispy - cats find it fun as they are actually chasing each other on top of snow areas. They were getting a bit bummed out by snow, clouds and slept a lot! Snow if walk in the yard is still over boot-top high (talking tall boots).

Rain possibly turning to snow Monday/Tuesday. HOPE it stays to JUST rain!

Palm Sunday - and hmm SNOW -- lots of snow - called winter storm Virgil pounding its way across the middle USA. Started out in CO area - shutting down airplane flights - heavy and wet - over a foot of snow in those areas - across KS, MO and headed east.

6" in our area - maybe more before the storm has left the area.

Just saw this on the news. Getting kinda old........... we had 10" locally a few days ago, and now we're going to get more?????? We had temps close to fifty today and they're saying maybe three inches tomorrow - could be snow. Could be slush. Either way, it's getting old.....

Here the sky's getting darker, winds picked-up and you can feel the change in the air, although the forecast is "maybe" 2 inches by morning. Time to move south!!!!!
